As our member designs has stated (I am paraphrasing here)... "And then there's the issue of manna. If he can do it once he can do it multiple times but does not." This reminds me of the Epicurus quote:

Royal Commission National Redress Scheme. Average of $65,000 per victim, not including psychological fees and admin costs.
by Lemonp inthe royal commission published it's redress report today.
it is a 668 page document, but it is very interesting.
all the recommendations they make are in harmony with what all other institutions will accept.

Why bother creating all the other galaxies?
by purrpurr ini'm still reading and researching the bible.
a thought occurred to me... the universe is so huge and full yet most of it cannot be seen by the naked human eye.. while jw's could claim that god created the stars to look pretty/ for navigation... what about the rest that cannot be seen?
the huge never ending mass of universe that the bronze age writers of the bible had no idea about?.

Again the ancient Religionists thought we were the center of the universe.
Coppernicus and Galileo proved this to be untrue. But religion cannot be wrong, you see, as they have God directing them. But when they are proven wrong, they make some shit excuse up like 'God was testing us' or crap like that.
Thanks to Nasa's Kepler mission, we now know there are other Earth-like planets in the cosmos (such as Kepler 186f: kepler-186f-the-first-earth-size-planet-in-the-habitable-zone ). So much for our planet being unique. It is a real possibility these Kepler planets are inhabited.
The 'pale blue dot' image from the Voyager 1 space craft showed just how insignificant our planet really is in the grandness of the universe ... "a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena." - Carl Sagan. And, again, from Carl Sagan, some words of wisdom to think about:

Photosynthesis and the problem with the creation story
by purrpurr ini just noticed in the bible that on day three, god created the plants and trees on the earth.... day four, god created the sun, moon and stars!
so that means that the vegetation that is by its very nature dependant upon light to grow and photosynthesise was created a day before the sun that it needs to live!???.
this gets even more strange when you factor in the jw exhuse that a day to god is like a thousand years.

A few years back I had a discussion with a couple of Christian support workers at my Dad's nursing home. I asked them "What would the Earth be like without the sun?" They had no clue. I told them "It would be a frozen hunk of rock with nothing living on it." I then said "But the Bible claims that plants were alive on the Earth before the sun was created. This is false. There is no way this could happen. " I was promptly told I was taking those scriptures in Genesis out of context. I asked them to explain how I was doing that. They could not.
This is not the only instance in the Bible where our present day knowledge does not jive with Bronze and Iron Age Middle Eastern desert dwellers' understanding of the cosmos.

Very cool. I love this stuff! I would have to think that Africa would become like a Mecca of archeological digs once the DNA/genome project discovered that the 'homo' species line originated there.
LOL @ Bonsai. But it is a legitimate question. IF Adam and Eve are only thought to be 6,000 years old, then 'original sin' did not exist before that time, hence, homo naledi would not qualify for needing a saviour or the church for that matter.
I often pondered as a child those in the world that had never heard of Jesus. I knew people like this existed. Even today we are still discovering indigenous tribes people who have never had any close contact with the rest of the world. When you see aerial photographs of these people, they certainly don't look Christian, Jewish, or Islamic.
