Love this story. Inside sedition... tres cool.
I found it quite interesting when my Father told me that "The CO is here to stir up trouble."
That doesn't sound like anything good in my opinion.
awhile back, about a year and a half ago, when i was starting to wake up, i explained to my mom that when the circuit overseer is in town, they schedule shepherding calls after lunch, not because they care, but because they dont want to work door to door in the hot summer or cold winter.
and they know that a prepared call means some nice hot chocolate and cookies or some ice cold tea and snacks.
i remember her looking at me kind of funny so i ended the conversation and left it at that, and never brought it up again.

so you all know that i go with my wife to the meeting to protect the kids from the drival and pacify her.
tonight we are sitting there and she points to mathew and says something about the faithful and discreet slave and she said eplain this.
so breaking away from what i was reading in the meeting..." in search of christian freedom by franz"...i said.
The Marvster... excellent observation. This is what I've seen as well. JWs swerve off the course of discussion because they cannot refute things. Either that or they clam up. My Dad used to just stop talking because he couldn't come up with anything. This was accompanied by the stunned deer-in-the-headlights look.
goingthruthemotions... have you ever thought of buying Bart Ehrman's book 'Misquoting Jesus' and just leave it out where your wife can have a look at it on her own? There's some good info. about the gospels contradicting each other in that book.

a 7,000 year old skeleton has been found with leukaemia...7,000 years is nearly the age of our first ever parents adam & eve is it not?.
so is this skeleton eve?.
Yeah, she's a scientific plant; a fake.
Of course, JWs can never explain how Science fakes radiometric and carbon dating (other than my Mom's attempt at saying the big bag of water surrounding the Earth prior to the flood skews radiation data. ).
I so had to go away to College as I grew older. My teens were spent going to school, working, and planning my escape.
tough to watch this whole video, the way he talks gets pretty annoying, especially after the rc hearings:.

go to around 8:20 where he gets into the pronunciation of jehovah.
So I will stick to my favorite pronunciation since G-Jack has approved: Jehobo
Rebel8's 'Jehoopla' always makes me snicker.
Jehoover and Jehovahahaha I like as well. ;0)
dark were my thoughts when i drew these after losing emma.....she was so beautiful...i thought i might say more with art than complaining......
this may sound insane but i literally have blood on my hands as i have just come home from a counselling session that went wrong...i wanted to collate all that has happened and record it...hospital policy is against it.
i said "what am i alive for then if not to tell the truth" she tut tutted and i walked out sadly in despair.. when i got to the ground floor there was a young girl screaming her head off.
she was afraid, that is all she was...........afraid.

Please tell Riley we hope she chooses life, as painful and difficult as it can be sometimes, because there are good things in it too. One day she might help someone as you are helping her.
the new testament tells us stories about miracles, people speaking in different languages by the holy spirit, jesus appearing to many of his disciples.
but, why this was only a first century phenomenom???.
here some reasoning: http://godisimaginary.com/i15.htm.

The Biblical stories are embellished, some are outright fabrications. When presented with stories that defy the Laws of Nature, one must ask the following: What is more likely? That the laws of nature are suspended or that a dead man can come back to life after being dead for 3 days.
Embellishing or fabricating stories is a way to further enhance and validate a belief system so that potential converts or recruits are convinced 'This is IT! Sign me up.'
As time has progressed, it seems God has become more and more silent and far less involved.
ray franz who gave us insight into the gb due to a crisis of conscience was an absolute moron, with absolutely no critical thinking skills whatsoever like all of us have.
i mean, to have a conscience based on some magic man in the sky.. how stupid can you be?
in search of christian freedom?
vinman, just as a suggestion for next time... if you are going to post something sarcastic you may want to identify that up front, maybe use html-like tags such as the follow:
<sarcasm> whatever text you wish to state sarcastically </sarcasm>
Ray confirmed for me a lot of my suspicions about the JW religion with his book "Crisis of Conscience" and he taught me some new stuff I did not know (since I've never been to Bethel or on the GB).
Some people who leave one cult tend to sign up for a different one. My grandfather did this. Believers don't always develop critical thinking skills. There is a certain amount of wishing something to be true without looking further that happens.
