  We Adopted A Kitten ...

  from a shelter for abused/homeless animals.. she's gray, black, and white.

  one eye is larger than the other, and she's charmed the entire household.. my g'daughter named her hannah - after the biblical hannah, of course.

  i'm back at work and my g'daughter at school, so we had to leave her in an enclosure.. it just about broke our hearts.. sylvia.

  Aw, Kittens! Abandoned cats usually find me... Recently rescued one that almost makes me believe in demon possession - has chewed all the electrical cords in the house (got thru to the current on a few of them!), destroyed several potted plants, knocked all the magnets off of the refrigerator, terrorized my poor little old favorite cat, the calico, attacked my sweet doggie who tries to break up the cat fghts, etc, etc....

  We eventually had to wrap all the cables leading to our tvs with tin foil to keep him from chewing them up - had to replace two - during a blizzard, both times, too!

  Eventually I'm going to do a humorous piece on this cat - if our house doesn't burn down first... Zid

  Demons ate my car while I was in the Kingdom Hall

  i parked my car near our local kingdom hall under that red-and-white sign while i ran in to get some more literature to place with those godless-whore-of-bablyon-worshipping church members and demon-worshipping buddhists and when i came outside the car was gone - just a puddle of oil on the ground and a few pieces of rusty metal... now i know that some demons must have eaten the car to prevent me from going out in service to preach jehover's good news and prevent lotsa people from dying at armageddon including babies and such.... my car's brakes aren't so good anymore and the tailpipe's broken and the floorboards are rusted out so the exhaust sometimes comes up into the car but that's ok because jehover loves me and protects me.

  besides those hot demon babes that suck-you-bus or something like that hang around me.... thay must like hot cars the holy split attracts them and they visit me at night but leave an awful mess - spirit-come in the sheets and they never do laundry like a good jehover girl would and do what she's tole to do.... those blasted policemen ar persecuting me and trying to prevent jehover's word from being preached - thats why they want $300 to get my car out of hock which i can't do because i'm spending 100+ hours in service and don't have time to work besides we aren't supposed to care about material possessions but i don't see why jehover won't get the angels to carry me to the territory.... except the bible says we aren't supposed to test him but i've got sore feet and cant wait 'till they're healed in the new paradise earth but that podiatrist who would probably try to force me to have a blood transfusion if he got the chance says that i've got fallen arches and bunions and shouldn't be working on my feet and he recommends that i get an office job (the hypocritical materialist!)!!.

  only i can't because i was home-skooled and received a very gud educatun due to jehovers holy guidance and i wouldn't want to work in an office anyway because there will be materialistic influences there and a demon might get me like they got my car..... .

  Actually, the idiot parked in a no-parking zone - hence the "red-and-white sign" - I guess most people aren't aware that red/white signs are usually indicative of restricted zones... I like the "demon spit" image - should have included that in the piece!

  The Exorcist

  how many here have seen the film (or read the book) the exorcist?

  did you watch it when you were a jehovah's witness?

  Watched the "Exorcist" when I was older and found it to be a big yawn. This was before the incident in the haunted office building in Southern California... Anyway, used to watch sci-fi and horror as often as I could get away with it without my parents finding out. The straw that broke the camel's back [I stopped being afraid of horror movies] was some silly zombie movie - I was scared about watching it, but they had one scene where the hordes of zombies stormed the last holdout of the last 'normal' people, and they shot it from ground level - looked about as scary as the 'herd of elephants stampeding' scenes in the cheesy old Tarzan movies - in fact, since the zombies were gray and the elephants were gray... Looked identical!!

  Worse scene I ever saw was in "Alien 2" where the android (I was channel surfing and didn't realize at first that it was an android) was acid-spit in half and was crawling across the floor... But the scene wasn'tscary - it was grotesque and sickening, tragic... Give me a good Hitchcockian mystery for real chills any day! I did like "Blair Witch Project", though, and there was a quiet little movie made in 2008 by one of the people involved with Blair Witch - "The Objective" - that was pretty good. I think the best horror movies are the ones that let your own mind do the scaring!!! [what? no smiley for scared??]

  Speaking of WTBTS disapproval, I remember some BIG uproar over a video made by a rock group [when rock videos had just become popular] that showed a groupie being possessed by a demon and whisked away - in the early 80's, I think. When I finally DID see the video, I was disgusted with the WTBTS's chicken-church-lady-scaredy-cat attitude - the video was cheesy, funny, tongue-in-cheek and not scary at all!! (The groupie ends up as an illustration on a billboard); elements of science fiction here which the WTBTS wouldn't have been able to see!!

  I am SOOOO glad I'm out of that religion!! Zid

  Yeeesh! The WTBTS's 2,000 B.C. Middle Eastern mentality on this issue pisses me off! Of course, overpopulation exacerbates the "signs of the times of the End" that they're always yowling about, so I can see how they - once again - would want to set people up to fail - fail to have the right to determine what actually happens to their own body...

  Homeschool, that is absolutely vicious and idiotic of the elder to force your sister to risk pregnancy, not only the issue of carrying the offspring of her attacker (I say bad genes should be chlorinated out of the gene pool...!!), but as young as she was, carrying a child to full term was risky for her, too.

  I was thinking about the issues of child molestation and rape in the WTBTS this morning - I realized when I was rather young that this whole B*S* about "must scream/don't have to scream" is such hypocritical idiocy when the females being molested/raped are in a system that DEMANDS absolute obedience and submissiveness. I saw this happen to a young sister in our own congregation; she was about 14, same age as I was, I thnk, and the elders were upset that she 'allowed' herself to get raped. My thought, as the elder explained to me the reasons for their punishment of her, was "she was just being obedient to a man, as we [females in the religion] have all been taught. So why are you punishing her???"

  Personally, I support the right to abortion. I don't like abortion at all; I do agree that - into the second trimester - an abortion takes something that may have matured into a human being - takes a life. But religions (INcluding the WTBTS!) take livesall the time, as the WTBTS was fond of ranting about - look at all the religious wars... I had the 'tubal ligation' and was absolutely thrilled with it! No birth control pills, no life destroyed because CONCEPTION was prevented. However, I like birth control pills, too, because they work before the blob of tissue has grown much past the microscopic stage - definitely not a sentient being at that stage... I'm all for ACCURATE birth control education, even for young children, and forms of birth control that PREVENT CONCEPTION - condoms, diaphraghms with spermicide - tubal ligations. 'Course, only the condom has the added benefit of preventing STD's...

  they teach that everyone gets a resurrection onto a paradise earth and are judged on how they; then behave:so if you knew the end would not come in your lifetime ,why would you bother trying to be good now?.
