My JW mum is in hospital
by nugget inmy poor mum fell over on sunday and broke her hip.
she was taken to hospital and yesterday had an operation to place a pin in the joint.
this was obviously a worrying time for all concerned and my dad let us all know what was going on.

I've noticed that folks don't readily leave unless something strikes close to home.
That's how it was for me. I had several situations develop within a few years that I just couldn't shut my eyes to anymore.
Initially, I just wanted to take a break and get off the hamster wheel. But that time away gave me the time to really study, instead of just reading/studying what I was told to.

Who Passed Jesus' Inspection In 1919?
by Cameron_Don ini was looking over the upcoming september 15 watchtower study article where it says that in 1919, something woke (the anointed) up!
jesus had come to inspect all those who called themselves christians.
some of the anointed did not pass this inspection.. but as many of us know, none of the anointed would have passed an inspection of the 48 teachings that are mentioned in chapter 3 of captives of a concept.. for example: according to the proclaimers book, none of the anointed woke up to jesus invisible presence beginning in 1914 until 1943 - 24 years after jesus inspection was over.

What is with abusive atheists?
by Fernando insorry folks, i know the "candace conti case" is where all our time attention should be for now.
i just had this much less important issue on my heart and wanted to make a quick note of it, as i am struggling with remembering all the details as clearly afterward.. although i am a non-religious believer and simple follower of jesus, i have had some constructive interaction with atheists and agnostics on jwn.
i do enjoy learning more about their perspective.

i just had this much less important issue on my heart and wanted to make a quick note of it, as i am struggling with remembering all the details as clearly afterward.. although i am a non-religious believer and simple follower of jesus, i have had some constructive interaction with atheists and agnostics on jwn.

I just like the chants she gives me cuz they are empowering. I suppose she thinks there is something magical about them, but that's not how I see them. There is such a different attitude, and I find they help stop negative thinking at times. She doesn't care that I don't think they are magical---that's why pagans are so much fun. I can play drums with them, and that I get something very different out of it than they do---they just like that I had a good time.
I know!
That's why I'm so attracted to gnostic beliefs......no judgements.
