These baby ospreys are supposed to hatch soon. I've been watching them all week......

I was just watching, and it looks like one of the eggs has a teeny hole! She has been working on the nest for the past while, too.

    eek! so excited.

Have you seen this one in WA? Three fledglings. :))

I had no idea ospreys lived in that part of the country. Very interesting. We have lots of them around here.

We enjoy them in abundance. We have several hatcheries in the area and they all have to have netting over them. The Osprey are fascinating to watch as they hunt. I had better start checking nests for activity. With binocs. of course.

Ospreys live all over NA and SA. I have spent many hourse watching them fish over the years, and they are my favorite bird. Unlike other birds of prey, they do not rob other birds' nests, nor do they eat carrion. They are truly 'fish hawks'.

I noticed the one fledgling is not feeding. :( Chances of all three making it are slim, though.

Isn't it amazing to be able to watch?

I don't see babies. I see eggs. Oh wait, you are watching a different feed. I am watching the one from Sandpoint.

Lulz. Watching the other feed now. Cute chicks. The parent is rearranging twigs.
