  JW Urban Legend - The Demonised Teddy Bear

  howdy guys and girls!.

  how many of you have heard the jehovah's witness urban legend about the demonised teddy bear?.

  if you're from north london and were a witness during the late eighties and early nineties, there's a good chance you would have heard it.. i was lucky enough to have played a part in the actual account!.

  No more 3-day DCs starting in 2013?

  apologies if there is another recent thread on this, but i have heard from 4 different people in 3 different geographic areas (including someone who does advance work for the dcs), that beginning in 2013 the three day dc program will be replaced by a second two-day circuit assembly.

  some people were passing the info along like a secret, others seemed to think that everyone already knew.. if everyone in j-dub land is already talking about this, how is it not all over this forum??.

  anyway, can anyone confirm or deny?.

  Isn't it great how Jehovah - the guy who created the plants and then the Sun - can't seem to create small pieces of green paper with images of some dead guys on them?

  It's interesting how Jehovah seems to run out of money...

  being english, we attend the english speaking section of the convention and are submitted to the incredible american accents that bellow over the tannoy.. anyway, here's my take on the dramas.

  Hi guys,

  The image is of a 7 year old Mormon girl getting baptised.

  Whilst writing this article, I found the image and used it. Personally, I don't think the image has anything to do with the article not being read and understood. If a JW wants to use the image as a way out, you need to tell them that you know what they're doing and that it can't detract from the fact that a 7 year old got baptised.

  Yes, they really are.

  The picture in the article doesn't make you think "CULT", does it? Of course not because Jehovah is lovely, just lovely...

  There's a massive difference between a baby and a 7 year old getting baptised. Any rational human being can see that...

  personally, my life has been fantastic.

  it's like a massive weight has been lifted off of me, especially when it comes to having to go to the meetings.

  Personally, my life has been fantastic. It's like a massive weight has been lifted off of me, especially when it comes to having to go to the meetings.

  If I am honest, it took me a while to realise "wordly people" were actually normal red-blooded human beings. Once I had figured out they were just like you and I, I decided to become one of them and haven't looked back since.

  Life is now truly wonderful!

  Andrew, the JWB co-author, has written his piece on what it's like now he's finally left the Witnesses too.
