Claim: Jehovah's Witnesses never claimed to be prophets.

Answer: You don't get to choose what word describes your actions. A prophet is someone who predicts the future. The Jehovah's Witnesses can't say they are not prophets any more then someone who has written many computer programs can't say they are not programmers because they never claimed to be a computer programmer.

In Biblical terms, a prophet is one who speaks for God, one into whose mouth God has put His messages. They certainly can't say that they never claimed that.

On page 136 The WTS claim not to be " inspired " Prophets because of the errors they made

Seems like a false prophet to me

"So, does Jehovah have a prophet to help them, to warn them of dangers and to declare things to come? These questions can be answered in the affirmative. Who is this prophet?...This "prophet" was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible Students. Today they are known as Jehovah's Christian witnesses....Of course, it is easy to say that this group acts as a "prophet" of God. It is another thing to prove it," (Watchtower, Apr. 1, 1972, p. 197).

If someone tells you that Jehovah's Witnesses never claimed to be prophets, then they have demonstrated that they have not properly researched the religion and are therefore unqualified to teach you anything about it.
