i had no plans to turn up to the court hearing as an observer, as in my experience, it can take several hearings and a number of months before any court case gets rolling.
Just a thought -
the society fought this for quite awhile according to what I read - does anyone know if some elders have been relieved of their status in Australia lately?
The reason I ask is that perhaps they stalled for time to rid themselves of those who may have issues .. any comments??

there was quite a debate on another post about the increase/decrease throughout the wt history surrounding 1975 and subsequent time periods when ther have been major adjustments in doctrine.

i see the overlapping generation as another potention issue to cause fallout.

Didn't Jesus explain this in Matthew prior to Revelation being penned?
The WTBTS links Matt 24:7 and REV 6:6 with the red horse, but the first white horse is not referred to by the WTBTS as Anti-Christ. why not? Jesus gave the run down in Matthew what will happen and revelation spells it out clearly for us - especially since The Lamb, Jesus is the only one to open the scroll with one of the four living creatures doing his bidding and the creature says "Come" to each of the horsemen... Does Jesus look at himself? Then gets on the horse, it does not say that, instead, there is already a rider on the horse
Matt 24:4 and 5 -- many will mislead you saying " I am the Christ"-(can definitely be the white horse in Rev 6 :2 being the antichrist.. )
Matt 24:7 -wars --(second horse fiery color-at Rev 6:4 ( slaughter) followed with famine and disease = black horse at Rev 6:5. Famine and disease usually follows all the wars being fought
So I cant and do not follow the society's reasoning on this one at all.... religions are in turmoil today -with a lot saying their way is the way to Christ and listen to them - new age groups, etc...
Anyone going to the hall agree with this logic of mine??? Just asking to see if I am off base here

i was recently told that the average cost to build a new kingdom hall in the united states rural midwest region was $250,000.
i was shocked to say the least.
i remember when my childhood congregation built a new hall in 1989 for $60,000.
to build a house -- cost per sq ft is about 170.00 -250.00
in my area anyway- used to be 65.00 sq ft and that only 15 yrs ago -- cost of bldg materials are exorbitant now.. but removing the cost of employees,due to the volunteers, that should drop the numbers to at least 100.00 sq ft.. say a 3000 sq ft bldg - $3 million - thats only about a 60 x50 size

You were so happy to picket the assembly last weekend and excited that some folks listened to you.. just cause some do argue on the board, don't take it personally ... you don't know their mind set, maybe they are of the org and just trying to upset the applecart...life is like that, all you can do is try to placate some and laugh at others..

me ex elder, pioneer was very active but am trying to fade.
one elder knows how i feel and i would not talk to anyone but him.
i miss most meetings now.
Is there only the one elder who wants to meet with her? and where? in the hall? In a closed door room -- nope! Not alone! Who knows what the point of the meeting is?
There will be 2 at least - will she feel intimidated? I think willy is right -- you are the spiritual head -- she is to defer any questions about you to you....... as you are not df'd or da'd....yet but then again, maybe they do want to talk to you and are using your wife to get to you and find out what is in your mind....
I am not an elder but as a woman I would not allow myself to be put into that position without my hubby there -- witnesses, witnesses -- some can be real p.............

while reading some excerpts from his writings, i noticed that he gave the year when seth was born at 230 years vs the 130 years mentioned in the bible.. does anyone know why this difference?
this is repeated many times when dealing with births in his antiquities.. i will not be on the board today but if anyone feels free to answer, i will be checking in later .
