Welcome~ I am a Michigander, too. I had many trips with my family to Holt. We used to stop at 7-11 after it was over and get snacks for our ride home.
This is a great website-glad you joined.
after watching serenity's video i had to comment.
i kept pausing the video looking for family members or others that i might know but haven't seen in years.
hated the drive to holt, but loved the soft serve ice cream.

nightmare on elm street series - especially in noes2, when the gurl is running from freddie in the basement, and her feet are in goo,,, and just when he's about to catch her,,, she gets traction --- that's real nightmare action!.
rosemary's baby - no special effects,,, just the creepiest freakin' neighbours in the world ... chilling!.
Paranormal Activity 1 and 2 were pretty damn scary! I can't wait to see #3.

the question i am asking is, what is your favorite album this second.
no lists please!
Adele 21--love this CD!
yes friends, it is important to understand your rich spiritual heritage as jehovah's witnesses, and so you don't have to look at old publications on your own or refer to worldly sources, the organization is pleased to select for you the history as we want you to have it and you can get it in your current watchtower.. from january 15, 2012 watchtower pg 31-32. the governing body is keenly interested in.
our theocratic history.

That's interesting. Wonder why they just don't make all of their publication's and literature available on the WT cd? That would be a way for JW's to learn about their past history.
Have a wonderful visit with them. Several years ago, i met Onthewayout and one of his friends-can't remember his name. They were both very nice. It's good to be able to match a name with a face-even though OTWO has his picture as an avatar.
last week wednesday at about 11:40 pm, on a cold and rainy night, my uncle breathed his last breath.
he was at hospice and he was alone.
alone because the whole family was there the previous night saying their goodbyes.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
i'm not sure how many of you are interested in this or how many of you have been following it, but i have been right from when i first heard about it a few years ago.. they were each sentenced 25 years and 26 years for the murder of british student meredith mercher, but after a dramatic appeal, today, they have had their sentences overturned and have been given an immediate release, because the evidence suggesting that they were guilty was not strong enough to support that verdict.. i always thought them both to be innocent, and this is true justice for the poor girl and guy after being locked up for 4 years for somehting they did not commit, however, it does still leave an unsolved riddle.... who killed meredith mercher if not these two?.
the strange thing is, amanda knox apparently originally claimed she heard screams from meredith and hid in a different room in the house whilst it happened, but that stroy had changed to "i was never there" which is what i think too, given the facts.. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3850483/amanda-knox-is-not-guilty-of-killing-meredith-kercher.html.
what are your thoughts?.
"In order to believe the prosecutor you have to believe that this college student with no history of trouble, or involvement with the occult or odd religions suddenly joined a satanic cult and hacked her roommate to death."
She wouldn't be the first person with no criminal history to completely snap and commit a horrific crime....Susan Smith, Andrea Yates, Darlie Routier, John List, Scott Peterson are just a few examples.
i used to feel nervous when i was out and would encounter a jw.
instantly, i would feel guilty that i wasn't doing more spiritually.
seems like the conversation would always go the the kh and jw's topic and the usual "we miss you, blah, blah, blah..." i am happy to say--- that is not the case anymore!

Now, when I run into a witness and they ask how I am doing, I say, "The whole family is doing great. My oldest son is in college at XYZ University. He is really being responsible with his schoolwork and loves being in a dorm. My youngest is getting straight A's and in the National Jr. Honor Society. My job is going well and the hubby's been working overtime at his job. Life is terrific! "
I say all of this because I want them to know I am NOT attending and my life is going pretty damn good!! I had a conversation recently with a sister and I asked her if her hubby was still working with this particular law firm as a Paralegal and she said, "Yes, but you know, the world is so iffy, we don't know if that will last much longer." That Oh, woe is me and the world talk irritates me so bad.
Thanks for letting me share my thoughts with you.
tonight glee had a sing off using the song out here on my own.
"sometimes i wonder ... who i am, do i fit in.
out here on my own.. always proving who we are.".
Love that song! Fame is one of my favorite movies and i have the soundtrack. I can understand the lyrics so much better now.
