by integ inmost of early friday morning was standard watchtower fare...you know, "wear your lapel badge to restaurants and preach to waiters" etc.
but there was some good meat later in the morning during the talk "glorious prophetic visions spur us on".
one point i found interesting was that only the annointed saw christs acsension to heavenly rulership in 1914. no one else.

How much do you tip and why?
by els ini am a waitress at a pizzeria/italian restaurant.
overall i get really good tips but sometimes it seems like the customers are going to tip a certain amount no matter what i do.
i can totally screw up a table and still get a great tip and other tables i give perfect service to and get a lousy tip.

We have a thing called "Minimum Wage" in Australia. Tipping generally isn't expected. (But if I get good service I usualy do give an extra few bucks)

The Police vs. Sting
by clash_city_rockers inin the late late 70's and early early 80's the police where absolutly the s**t. they were the coolest new wave rock band back in the day.
thier sond was so cool with a slight punky newwave power pop fuesed with white reagge big complex cords played sparingly with a lot of space and with a trippy corrus-flange-echo guitar sound a ballsy bass lead and really wired out energetic hypnotic poly-rythatic drumming thier sound was never matched.
sting on the otherhand since his revolt from his former mates his sound fluffy sentemental pop rubbish.

Things Change - I always thought the "Simple Minds" album "Empires and Dance" was fantastic.
“Simple Minds” style has changed completely over the years. Still good but its not the simple minds I knew and loved so I all but rejected it.

Just spent the last 2 weeks (on and off) ripping all my CDs to MP3 - What a task - I'm up to 2500 songs from about 250 artists. I'm about half way done. A big range from clasical to hard rock. Mostly I like listening to New Wave but it depends on mood.
It's very interesting how the classification of music changes - he “B52's” and “Depeche Mode” were considered New Wave when they were first released now they are main stream. And “The Stranglers” and “Blondie” were considered punk.
Alltime favorites are Iron Butterfly, Led Zepelin and Black Sabbath.

On July 20, 1969, as commander of the Apollo 11 Lunar Module, Neil Armstrong was the first person to set foot on the moon. His first words after stepping on the moon, "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind", were televised to Earth and heard by millions. But just before he reentered the lander, he made the enigmatic remark: "Good luck, Mr. Gorsky."
Many people at NASA thought it was a casual remark concerning some rival Soviet Cosmonaut. However, upon checking, there was no Gorsky in either the Russian or American space programs. Over the years many people questioned Armstrong as to what the "Good luck Mr. Gorsky" statement meant, but Armstrong always just smiled.
On July 5, 1995, in Tampa Bay, Florida, while answering questions following a speech, a reporter brought up the 26 year old question to Armstrong. This time he finally responded. Mr. Gorsky had died and so Neil Armstrong felt he could answer the question. In 1938 when he was a kid in a small Midwest town, he was playing baseball with a friend in the backyard. His friend hit a fly ball, which landed in his neighbor's yard by the bedroom windows. His neighbors were Mr. and Mrs. Gorsky. As he leaned down to pick up the ball, young Armstrong heard Mrs. Gorsky shouting at Mr. Gorsky. "Sex! You want sex?! You'll get sex when the kid next door walks on the moon!"
