it depends on the country. I lived in a country where the Catholic church has a very heavy presence and they used the government or some officials to stop the preaching activities. Even some priests will direct a whole Sunday service against JWs.

Interesting Opening statement in a public talk
by Da.Furious inon sunday we had a talk, don't remember the title, but something about having zeal in our ministry and we are the best and have the truth stuff.
the interesting this was the opening statement.. the speaker started: we may have seen on the tv or knew about the tv evangelizers, they have lots of energy in preaching on the tv and they ask for donations by text showing on the screen and their talk is based on asking for money.. then he moved on to talk how our organization is truly supported by god...... the thing that shocked me as related to the ignorance the speaker had.
haven't he watched the jw.org tv channel?

The thing that shocked me as related to the ignorance the speaker had. Haven't he watched the JW.org TV channel? What do the GB members and their helpers do? Don't they preach on tv? Aren't they doing the same as the TV evangelizers that they used to make fun and point out how this behavior is related to Babylon the great.On the donation side, the GB members et al, dont outright ask for money, but all their talks and presentations have a hint of donations and asking for more.

On January 16, 2017, Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia will again seek to counter the decade-long tightening of restrictions on their religious freedom. They will ask the Moscow City Court to rule that a warning against their national headquarters be rescinded as unlawful and unfounded. The warning, issued on March 2, 2016, by Deputy Prosecutor General V. Ya. Grin, threatens to liquidate the Witnesses’ national headquarters if new evidence is discovered of “extremism” that has taken place within a year.

The brothers have been incriminated as extremist on the base of false proves and the case has escalated to the top Court in Russia.
If the Brothers will win the case it will give some chance to get justice.
If they loose the decision will affect the 400 registered groups in different town in Russia, about 2500 Congregations, they all will be under threat of going under ban.
That would mean that the Kingdom Halls and the Branch with all the material possession could be confiscated and the work would become completely illegal.
We have been asked to pray for the Brothers who are bringing the case in front of the judges and that Jehovah may assist his people.
Today's text is very fitting and gives hope.

Interesting thing about the video is the brothers in the video wearing a hat or hiviz with branding. The logo is BRD. Based on my experience bethelites or LDC volunteers are not allowed to wear any branding or logos on their clothes, expect for the JW.org printed on the hats or shirts!
So who are BRD? and why they are being promoted on this video? The email in contacting the project office is BRDEnquiries.GB@jw.org.

Signs That Armageddon is "Any Day Now"
by Nevuela inmy "anointed" roommate told me a good one today.
as we were discussing psychotropic medications, she brought up a friend of hers who was recently forced off of "benzodiazepine" (there is no one drug by this name; rather, it is a specific classification of drug).
she claimed that many people are being forced off of the medication(s) due to "concerns over side effects," and that her friend is suffering from withdrawal on top of whatever symptoms the drug was previously helping to control (she didn't elaborate and i didn't feel comfortable asking, sorry).. my roommate then went on record to say (i'm paraphrasing here) "this is why armageddon has to happen very soon, because satan is using this system to make all these people suffer psychologically to drive them into the streets and go crazy.

The thing i don't understand is how they come up with the theory of Armageddon coming any time! If they read the bible it clearly says that the Great Tribulation will come first, of which during this time the religion will be taken down followed by JWs. After all this Armageddon will come. Did i miss anything, unless we are in the great tribulation.

* 2 brothers or 2 Sisters, one taking the lead - this is normal
* 1 Brother and 1 Sister - always the brother takes the lead and a sister may read a scripture
Never a sister taking the lead and brother standing in the back. Unless i missed one.

usually i dont do in FS, i put in a fake report. When asked i say it do informal witnessing when i am out and about and witness to friends and colleagues over a beer!
When i get harassed i show up on a Saturday.
