This is serious stuff! I saw this on my Facebook news feed shared by few brothers and sisters:
on jw.org this is the first paragraph on the 12 january news on russia:.
on january 16, 2017, jehovah’s witnesses in russia will again seek to counter the decade-long tightening of restrictions on their religious freedom.
they will ask the moscow city court to rule that a warning against their national headquarters be rescinded as unlawful and unfounded.
On JW.org this is the first paragraph on the 12 January news on Russia:
On January 16, 2017, Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia will again seek to counter the decade-long tightening of restrictions on their religious freedom. They will ask the Moscow City Court to rule that a warning against their national headquarters be rescinded as unlawful and unfounded. The warning, issued on March 2, 2016, by Deputy Prosecutor General V. Ya. Grin, threatens to liquidate the Witnesses’ national headquarters if new evidence is discovered of “extremism” that has taken place within a year.

"In about 2 hours from now will starts an historic Court case at the High Court in Moscow.
The brothers have been incriminated as extremist on the base of false proves and the case has escalated to the top Court in Russia.
If the Brothers will win the case it will give some chance to get justice.
If they loose the decision will affect the 400 registered groups in different town in Russia, about 2500 Congregations, they all will be under threat of going under ban.
That would mean that the Kingdom Halls and the Branch with all the material possession could be confiscated and the work would become completely illegal.
We have been asked to pray for the Brothers who are bringing the case in front of the judges and that Jehovah may assist his people.
Today's text is very fitting and gives hope.
We thought to share this so that we can all remember the Brothers and the case in our prayers today.
Whatever will be the outcome it will have a worldwide effect so, may Jehovah's name be exalted."

For smaller groups the links take you to 3rd party page:

The best part is the booking section on the right. Why they have add to cart option with $0.00!
Wondering if they will be charging a nominal cost for visiting - as voluntary donation pre-added

Interesting thing about the video is the brothers in the video wearing a hat or hiviz with branding. The logo is BRD. Based on my experience bethelites or LDC volunteers are not allowed to wear any branding or logos on their clothes, expect for the JW.org printed on the hats or shirts!
So who are BRD? and why they are being promoted on this video? The email in contacting the project office is BRDEnquiries.GB@jw.org.
rate it from 1 to 10. thanks!

2 : just to make sure i have enough for a side discussion.
my "anointed" roommate told me a good one today.
as we were discussing psychotropic medications, she brought up a friend of hers who was recently forced off of "benzodiazepine" (there is no one drug by this name; rather, it is a specific classification of drug).
she claimed that many people are being forced off of the medication(s) due to "concerns over side effects," and that her friend is suffering from withdrawal on top of whatever symptoms the drug was previously helping to control (she didn't elaborate and i didn't feel comfortable asking, sorry).. my roommate then went on record to say (i'm paraphrasing here) "this is why armageddon has to happen very soon, because satan is using this system to make all these people suffer psychologically to drive them into the streets and go crazy.
The thing i don't understand is how they come up with the theory of Armageddon coming any time! If they read the bible it clearly says that the Great Tribulation will come first, of which during this time the religion will be taken down followed by JWs. After all this Armageddon will come. Did i miss anything, unless we are in the great tribulation.
It is simple!

Have you noticed the setting?
* 2 brothers or 2 Sisters, one taking the lead - this is normal
* 1 Brother and 1 Sister - always the brother takes the lead and a sister may read a scripture
Never a sister taking the lead and brother standing in the back. Unless i missed one.
for those of you who are still in because of family circumstances, what do you do about field service?
do you still go regularly, sporadically or not at all?.
if you do still go, how do you manage?
usually i dont do in FS, i put in a fake report. When asked i say it do informal witnessing when i am out and about and witness to friends and colleagues over a beer!
When i get harassed i show up on a Saturday.
found this in my rss feed of, as new faq on jw.org:.
the answer was .
a person can resign from our organization in two ways:.
Found this in my RSS feed of, as new FAQ on jw.org:
The answer was
"Yes. A person can resign from our organization in two ways:
By formal request. Either orally or in writing, a person can state his decision that he no longer wants to be known as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
By action. A person can take an action that places him outside our worldwide brotherhood. (1 Peter 5:9) For example, he might join another religion and make known his intention to remain part of it.—1 John 2:19.
No, we do not. Resigning, or disassociating oneself, is different from becoming weak in faith. Often, those who for a time slow down or stop in their worship have not abandoned their faith but are suffering from discouragement. Rather than shunning such ones, we try to give them consolation and support. (1 Thessalonians 5:14; Jude 22) If the person wants help, congregation elders take the lead in providing spiritual assistance.—Galatians 6:1; 1 Peter 5:1-3.
However, the elders are not authorized to coerce or pressure someone to remain as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Each person makes his own choice regarding religion. (Joshua 24:15) We believe that those who worship God must do so willingly, from the heart.—Psalm 110:3;Matthew 22:37."
The interesting part they make it sound as if it is an easy thing to be done without any issues. Yes you can leave if you want at any time. They have hidden the fact that this means you lose the community, friends and family.
In a sneaky way they mention the shunning, but for someone new who is hearing about the practice and researching, he will see that these guys are normal and alow you to change your mind! WRONG, 4th paragraph states half way through it states: "Rather than shunning [spiritually weak] ..." so spiritually weak are not shunned but the ones who decide to leave are shunned.
This FAQ should include the following:
Yes, a person can resign from our organization in two way in which both result in shunning:
This is very good piece of PR.

i understand the feeling having someone reinstates especially after 16 years.
but why did they have to suffer this long.
Found this on social media. I understand the feeling having someone reinstates especially after 16 years. But why did they have to suffer this long. And at the end they thank jehovah for being merciful!? The only people decided his fate are local elders.
