i just want to say something which the vast majority of jw's who are active, fading , hard-core, doubting or what have you who don't know about malawi and mexico.
i'm just ''over generalizing'' by saying the above, about most jw's who don't know about the mexico/malawi scandal.
i strongly encourage any jw who is doubting or ''wondering'' about this ''organization'' to browse jwfacts.com.. just watched the john cedars rebuttal of the 2018 regional convention the sunday program.
At the convention they were highlighting that any involvement in this world is not acceptable. There was a video about this brother who was asked to sign a petition to oppose something, and he refuses even though this resulted in losing his job.
How many JWs are part of unions? I know a few who work for airlines and train companies who are in the unions for employment benefits.
are "inactive" publishers being asked to sign it, or is it only for "active" ones?.
i haven't been troubled by any of the local jw stasi about it.

I am active in UK, got asked to sign mid May.
Took the form, said i need to check what is this and then will return it.
Still checking! Until now no one approached me asking me to hand the signed form.
i've always been currious as to how i would look with a beard so i've finally committed to doing it.
over the next 30 days i'm going to grow out a full chin to ear beard.. .
ps: any suggestions or advice on how to grow a beard would be much appreciated!.
First of all don’t try to trim for the first month at least. Let it grow. If you want to trim, just use a higher number comb and reduce gradually - remember hair grows. The problem if you trim more than required you may make a mistake and end up shaving it all together.
As others pointed out, Beard Oil is a must, don’t shampoo the beard at all, just wash it with water, and maintain it with a beard brush.
I started on my beard since summer last year and never regret it. Takes a while to get the correct style and howto trim but it is worth it. That’s how we were intended to be.
NB: Still go to meetings with full beard, and not a single negative comment mentioned in front of me. Still get the odd looks for old timers.

What a great idea: Build a events area for conventions, accommodate the brothers at local hotels owned by them. All staff are volunteers.

the uk are tightening up their data protection laws to make it easier for individuals to get hold of the information organisations hold on them and to get it deleted.. i think paul grundy (jwfacts) went through this with wt once and found it very time consuming and difficult.. will wt now abide by the law and hand over or permanently delete the records it keeps when requested?it would mean every uk exjw could have their report card info, personal file with age, sex, baptism date, judicial information, appointment/deletion/disfellowshipping dates, letters of disassociation, letters of recommendation when you move, phone number and address permanently removed.
anyone acting for the wt (elders) who retain this information, eg your phone number in their phone or the secretary keeping your historical monthly report details, will be in violation.

Could it be the congregation is under the Act? Since such information is stored in the congregation confidential file.
I have raised the issue of how data is stored in congregation and what measures are taken to protect my data. Still waiting for answers.
As for US HQ, i think they will be in big trouble if they do not get their GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) for every EU national done properly.

I knew a handful of JWs, From Publishers to Elders, who were undercover operatives for the intelligence services. Never been identified until the whole congregation gets arrested and his cover gets blown.
