In his speechs he seems like the better choice...now doing what he promised is another story. I will hold my opinion if he was the right choice when he actually gets in there and does the job he was elected to do. I'm not sure how electing a black man gives us respect to the rest of the world...I would hope his foreign policy will gain us that respect. Only time will tell if he was the right choice or not.

in the 1960's a little old black lady refused to give up her seat on the bus to white folks as was the rule....black students were refused entry to white universities even by the governor of the state representing them!

Cognac My ex-wife and I never had kids because the big A was always so close. Now i'm out of the org and divorced...if your sister really wants kids tell her to kick the hubby to the curb and give me a call !
Seriously, it is my biggest regret that I did not have kids and I hope someday in the near future I will have that chance.

Let's get real about SHUNNING
by passwordprotected ina good friend of mine dad a few months ago because he'd moved in with his 'worldly' g/f and he was already partially being stalked by the local boe.
since then his mother will have nothing to do with him, neither will his sister and her family.
a few of the more real jws that genuinely care about him have kept a level of contact up.

onthewayout...I am df'd and I was told you can't hang out with or talk to other df'd jw's. I don't understand why that matters to the elders if you talk to another df'd jw...they just want to control you even when they kick you out.

Did you understand doctrine when you were "in"?

I learned more about jw doctrine after I was df'ed than when I was in. I was actually trying to get reinstated when I started to learn about the history of WTS from sites like this. The thing that really got me was how Russell used astrology and pyramidology to come up with 1914.

Anyone here have experience with the Arcade Game industry?
by Nosferatu ini just came up with a really wicked idea to make some money renting out a specialized game machine.
i can easily build the machines for cheap, but i don't know how the whole business end of it works.
when you see an arcade game in a place such as 7-11, are they renting the game machine, or does the company pay 7-11 to have the machine in it's store?

My brother owns a bar and the games he has is provided by a company for free. They come in and collect the money and my brother gets a percentage.
