ex wants to be free to remarry - ugh
by No Apologies inok, i'm sure i am not the first one to be in this predicament but it sure is a headache, my jw ex called a few days ago, apparently she has met someone (they're not dating of course!
) and she wants to me to hand over the golden ticket.
she wants confirmation either in writing or verbally to a third party, that she is "scripturally free" to remarry.. i have managed for years now to avoid any judicial action and my jw family members still associate with me, but that all could come to a screeching halt if i give her what she wants.. the only bright side is she totally robbed me on the divorce; if she gets married i am at least off the hook for "spousal maintenance", that would mean potentially thousands of dollars in my pocket.... .

i remember how it was supposed to be a perfect place to work and everything was supposed to be in harmony with each others.

A friend of mine (girl), described it as a big building with NO WINDOWS that a bunch of creepy gay young guys go in and out of.
Having been there many times, I completely agree with that description.

Just started looking for answers
by jwdecendant ini was raised as a jw and have several family members who are witnesses, including my mother.
while i love and respect her very much i was very resentful of being raised in "the truth".
there are several reasons but the main one is the way i was "counseled" and ultimately publically pointed out as a bad associate.

That's what 'dubs do to people associating that don't get baptized.
And don't worry about any public announcements, the gossip chain in a KH is a powerful force.
If you are posting here, I doubt you are drinking their Kool-aid.

We mutually ended my "studies" today
by Janey214 injust wanted to say thanks for all the 'help' some of you have been and all the help some of you have been.. .
we mutually ended studies today, i think my two witnesses realised that they were losing more ground than they gained :-s.. .
eep, i never set out to upset them, but i think they fear they're losing their faith.. .

The seven points you make are all very accurate. These issues all point to this group being a cult.
Your "study" with these women really never stood a chance. Their answers are very indicitive of what the rank and file are taught, not to ask, just do. In over 35 years in the "truth" I have NEVER even heard of someone who questioned these thing converting.
My assumption is,
1) You are not down on your luck.
2)You are not crazy ( your mental capacities are intact).
3) You speak english.
4) Your whole family is not "in".
If those 4 things are all true, you really had no chance of joining the 'dubs.

he came to me and asked why i was alone and how can a girl like me not have a partner.

It is not uncommon for a JW to be like this.
I know I lived a double life for so long I began to develop a gray area as to Jw reality and human reality.
Lies are easily justified (just like remaining in the org). Those posting or lurking here, who are active JW's, are evidence of this as they are living a double life, although the infractions are relatively minor.
It's not a healthy place to be mentally.
You shold feel bad for him and stay away!
