  Do the elders really care if you fake your service time?

  the bottom line for them it seems is to keep their superiors happy (i.e., the co).

  so as long as people report time, it makes the elders look good.

  do any elders actually care if it's real or not?

  I cannot believe this happened if you were actually getting pioneer hours (and deducting 10%)

  i have been following a number of threads here periodically and have decided to join so as to contribute.

  i was wondering if any of you would have any idea as to the value of the book mentioned in the title of this thread "pay attention to yourselves and to all the flock," the elusive elders manual.

  you see, my grandfather died recently and, unbeknownst to "the others" i managed to obtain said book before anyone else could.

  It wouldn't be a copyright infringement since it is actually owned by the WBTS. It might be considered stolen property though.

  This book is sort of like a credit card, in that the Watchtower (bank) maintains ownership, even though you are using it.

  As long as your not padding it too much, or getting more hours than the elders, they don't care.

  The higher the congregation average, the better they look to the CO.

  after noticing reniaa use that expression to give a "reason" why she was hijacking a thread, i thought about about people who use "i'm sorry, but...".. "but" what, reniaa, et.

  it dawned on me (yeah.

  the wt leadership has hammered into all of it's elders and rank & file's heads, that it is not wise for a man to be alone with a woman he is not married too (adult or young woman... ie 14).

  even in congregation sanctioned duties.. so, why, then, do so many service pairings involve just that: a brother alone in the territory (even if it's to make a call) with a sister he's not married to?.
