How I feel about it all now
by JimmyPage inbecause my wife is a dub i do still attend meetings fairly regularly.. but that's before i was on this site.. then as i was having my eyes opened the talks really started irritating me.
" my mind would scream.
it was like my brain was fighting with all its might to resist the manipulation of the loaded language.. now when i listen to elders, some of whom i think are nice people, give these talks about how close the end is i just really feel sorry for them.

Now when I listen to elders, some of whom I think are nice people, give these talks about how close the end is I just really feel sorry for them. I think of all the years they have wasted in this cult paying attention to an annoying alarm ringing nonstop for decades on end.
What a relief it is to let go of the constant fear and guilt.
This feels like progress for me. Can anyone else relate?

It used to be that whenever speakers gave talks about the end being near it motivated me to get more in line with the dub standards.
But that was before I was on this site.

How's it like... living in the South?
by Preston inhere in lovely phoenix, az there's a part of me that's tired of phoenix's one redemable feature (reasonable housing prices) and dismiss the cacti, hot temps, lackluster football teams, golfing culture and predominance of fake people with orange tans and..... ... live in a nice bungalow on a country road, havin' a truck with a gun rack, a (rainbow) confederate flag, cranking up some nice soothing wanda jackson, grow myself a big booshy moustache, wear a denim vest, get myself a bassett hound and sit on a front porch in my rocking chair while whispering to myself "it's good to own land.".
for those of you that live in the deep south... or just the regular south.... how's it treating you?
i may consider a change in living arrangements.. - preston.

How Did YOU Personally Feel About "Keeping The Congregation Clean"?
by minimus indid you report others that you either suspected of doing something wrong or knew of that had committed some "wrongdoing"?.
the elders regularly tried to lay a "guilt trip" on members by telling them they could personally "hinder god's holy spirit" if they didn't come forward to the elders and either fink on themselves or someone else.. did you buy into this crap??
