Thank you for the inside updates 😀
it's like the movie Fantastic Voyage, your telling us what is going on .
well unfortunately i was unable to get out of today gracefully so here i am in sacramento california at what i fear may be the most boring convention to date.. heck there aren't even any entertaining apostates to watch .
anyway,i am just posting as a quiet f.u.
to the org..
Thank you for the inside updates 😀

too much crap to keep track of, but a few low lights of day one of the regional convention stuck out.
in no particular time sequence here is some of what i managed to hold down.. tight pants yapped on in the opening part about a three part theme to conventions.
part 1 was in 2016, part 2 is this year, and part 3 is in the works for 2018. i guess the big a isn't coming for a couple more years, at least.. then it was really stressed that all good dubs must always be prepared to "witness" by carrying jay double you, dot org calling cards, and of course wear your id card for the convention at all times, and all places.. next was the strong statement that the purpose of the carts/trolleys is not to place literature, it is to direct people of the public to "our" web site!
Of course, ,,,,, I Forgot about that

So why have 3-4 people standing around a cart full of literature for hours, why not just get a sign placed next to the congested highways that lead into cities ?
just wanted to say hello and thank you for all of your comments.
when i finally figured out this was not the truth it was nice to know i wasn't the only one - it was a surprise to learn how many there are.
february was my last month of service after 43 active years.
while reading the morning news, i came upon a story about this church and the name grabbed my attention :.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/church_of_the_subgenius.
some aspects are just too close to the mark with the witnesses.

mine was to some random guy in uniform i saw on the street about two years ago.
even as a jw i knew that we had a lot of freedoms here in the us that were hard earned.
it felt really good to finally be able to say in person to someone when i i did..
Every chance I get !
when I left the jw religion I got involved with an organization, Honor Flight, that takes WW2 veterans out to Washington DC for one day to visit their memorial.
without a doubt that was the most emotional, and in a certain way spiritual chapter of my life. I was able to go on 3 trips and they affected me greatly.
much more than knocking on doors for a religion. 😉
this is a video of one trip I was on returning back to Midway airport in Chicago.
i honestly think they are the most boring people on earth!
even when they produce their so called "new light", there's no excitement.
jws just do their thing and refuse to think about their useless lives.
I remember hearing new teachings at the district assemblies, and I saw no real excitement.
But while leaving I would feel superior because of the "new light" esp. Whe seeing the apostates with their signs outside of the Hawthorn track.
Sort of like Clark Kent knowing that he is Superman. 😜
can you relay some of the battles , who won and how did the loser cope ?.
One HS aged son of an elder wanted to go to his prom with a sister. The girls parents were OK with it, but the boys dad was a big shot in the hall and he would not have anything to do with this !
Well, my wife was a teacher, and we signed up to be chaperones for the evening, that really burned the elder, because it seemed that we were siding with the girl and her parents.
He tried so many ways to belittle us for chaperoning, but we stuck to our guns and went to the prom.
Man, did he do a slow burn for several months afterward, because the kids had a good time and they were being "watched" by other witnesses, although that wasn't out reasoning. Afterwards I noticed that my privileges started to dry up, and at that time my fade was really in high gear. Thanks mr. p, you really helped me realize what was important.
years ago it was all about armageddon and getting out of babylon the great.
then with the draw close to jehovah and is there a creator that care about you.
it was all about building a relationship with jehovah.
I find this to be a very interesting topic.
yes, I remember the main focus of preaching to be the end of the world, but the college where I work the witnesses sit in the student lounge with their cart 2-3 days each week.
4 people sitting all day in an institution that their teachings do not like, it just blows my mind to see them sitting there.
And the signs they have, not much about the end, mainly it seems on how to be a better person and accept their version of the bible.
within the organization, jehovah's witnesses know that they must be dutiful and set an example for "worldly ones" as well as for their own brotherhood.
if a witness fails in setting the proper example, they may lose some 'privileges"..... what privileges did you look to have and what privileges did you lose?
?.
My hours would be between 4-7 each month.
one Sunday an elder asked if I would be interested in reading the wt. which I said yes to.
next week the same thing, reading the wt.
after that meeting the elder pulled me aside and asked if I enjoyed reading for the meeting, which I said yes to.
His reply back to me was that I'd better get my time up each month if I wanted to read again.
my time started to go down, and I never read on Sunday again ✨💫
