At what age do you plan to retire?
by JH inso many people start working young in life, and expect to retire around 58 years old.
some even retire much before that.
but so many witnesses never expected to reach that age in this system.

The Show of Over-Patriotism Astounds Me
by D8TA inwhile you watch your britney spears videos...your freedom is being taken away.. while you cheer for your nba team and drink that beer...your freedom is being taken away.. while you watch cnn/msnbc/foxnews reports about laci peterson and shuttle disasters....your freedom is being taken away.. while you see one of the greatest misdirections about "condition orange" blinking on your sets....your freedom is being taken away.. while you hoot-n-holler for going to war with saddam hussien...your freedom is being taken away.. while you turn on your computer to surf the internet...your freedom is being taken away.. while you worry about what sports car to buy...your freedom is being taken away.. while you sit in your home with the heat on, enjoying 3 sqaures a day...your freedom is being taken away.. while you worry about your next job promotion...your freedom is being taken away.. while you are being suckered by the greatest sham from the u.s. government...your freedom is being taken away.. it's amazing, that very few here realize what the patriot act and dept.
of homeland defense represents....and what is now in place.
for the rest who don't know...you have my pity.

I hates 'em, I HATES 'EM, I REALLY HATES 'EM
by Grunt ini really do hate them.. every now and then it does me good to make my views on the cult known as jehovah's witnesses known.
i didn't come to this view slowly or rashly, but over a period of some thirty years or more.
when i think of the futures i have seen shredded, the hypocrites i have seen looking down their twisted noses from the bottom of a pit while they thought they were on a pedestal of righteousness, the children i have seen tortured over issues they needn't have faced, the couples i have seen turn on one another and break apart over this phoney "religion", the children i have seen turn on their parents, brothers and sisters, the selfish things i have seen charlatans posing as christians do, the ignorance of the bible i have seen expounded with the tones and knowing looks of superiority, the tears i have seen shed by caring puppet-people trying to serve god honestly but being forced to do uncaring things by the strings pulled in new york, well....... have i mentioned i hates'em!!!!!!!!.

by Iron Eagle inhey folks .

Dissing the JWs....
by ScoobySnax ini've been inactive for a few years now, and yet, despite all i read, i can't feel as you mostly all do.
i have a lot of happy memories of being "in the truth" (and i know how much some here hate that line) and fond memories of the meetings and assemblies, sure it was much easier to break away and live life like i am now,..... but well, thats just how i feel.
i can understand those that may leave for personal reasons, but not sure i'll ever understand some here who have such a hatred of anything jw related.
