thankyou all especially ziddna that has made the decision so much easier ! by the way st george i am not a careless teenager but a 41 year old married woman with 3 kids , my eldest is 22 years old ! and because my job involves looking after people with downs syndrome im really scared at the moment so thanks for your advice about "safe sex" but sometimes condoms split !!!!

my 6 year old walked straight past her grandma and auntie (jws)
by looloo ingrandma has not seen her for 18 months and auntie 2 years !
i was in the town at the weekend just before i went to work , my little girl was walking a few feet ahead of me and i saw her auntie come out a shop followed by grandma and i thought "oh shit" "what have we got to talk about after all this time " but fortunatley they just walked past eachother oblivious , despite grandma being so close she could have patted her on the head !
i was relieved but afterwards i thought how sad it is that a grandma cant come to visit her own grandchild and didnt even notice her (they are my disfellowshipped hubbys family .

talking to my Mom about the JW's - I need some help
by James_Slash infirstly, i left the jw's about 5 years ago.. my mom is still in.. i've spoken to her on a number of issues and even though she has doubts that the jw's are the 'true' religion, mainly due to the paedophile scandal and the generation changes, she said to me today that "if the jw's are not the true religion, then who is?
" she also stated that it was jesus' command in the bible to "preach the good news of the kingdom - only jw's do that".. what can i come back with?.

hi , regarding the "preaching the good news of the kingdom" and jws being the only ones to do that , mormons knock on my door much more than jws do , does that mean that they have "the truth" ? and ive had baptists knock on my door also . does she know about the british lady doctor who was executed in afghanistan recently by the taliban along with her colleagues . the reason given was "they were preaching christianity " i think she worked for the red cross not th watchtower ! good luck james , you could try telling her about that "wonderfull" brother from the states who was abusing in the cong she visited !

where appropriate, the shepherd briefly outlined the steps to be taken for reinstatement.
some persons like this repented and were reinstated.

i know just how you feel , my girl was abused and some have said i got her to make it up as im "apostate " ! some elders were actually very supportive but i think they feel guilty for not having reported the abuser years ago to the police after they knew he had a abused a girl in the congregation but just "reprooved" him , leaving him free to rape another 13 year old for the nxt 5 years and eventually abuse my girl ! i have sent you a pm x welcome !

(after all, they could talk to each other).
but many would "treat" other disfellowshipped just like the witnesses would.

when my disfellowshipped hubby was "going back" years ago before we got wed , he was told not to talk to another disfellowshipped lad who was also "going back" they had once pioneered together once and couldnt ignore eachother (neither got reinstated ) i knew a lad who was brought up a witness but never got baptised and married a "worldley" girl , she was annoyed that a bloke who had been disfellowshipped for years (for an affair with his daughters friend,a pioneer ) had said to her husband "your poor mother must despair of you " what a hypocrite ! this guy was sent to prison for child sex abuse a few years after saying that !
