Good for you, Mandette
A big weight off your shoulders. Getting rid of physical clutter is good for the mind. Time to breathe easy now
after reading a couple of posts about getting rid of publications, i finally got the courage to do it.
i went home and cleaned them all out.
they were on a shelf in my garage being apartment buildings for wasps nests!!!!.

as we all know, i have been a little sick (or as some of you may know).
which has led to less sparkle.
which led to me being a little emotional.

my oldest daughter (who is currently up in ct) just called to tell me my stepmother (wicked witch of the west) was in an accident yesterday evening.
she was riding a moped and crashed it into a parked car (don't ask me what an overweight 53 year old woman with bad knees is doing on a moped but whatever...supposed to save on the cost of gas or something).
anyway...she shattered her right leg and wrist in the accident (her good walking side) and apparently will never be the same.
Do I call? Do I send flowers and a get-well card? Do I go broke and travel up there to see her?
If your own budget seems in the way, perhaps a simple get-well card and/or phone call would do.
Being the better person never hurts. Even if only meant as a good example to your own children~
first of all i miss sademo & that she used to put a weekly vigil up.
everyone needs a bit of tlc, or could do with a bit of upliftment, encouragement, prayers, good vibes...just that little bit of positiveness.. in light of that my dear mum is going through a divorce, and i know it's not easy.. witness 007 is having a rough time & could do with some encouragement.. if you need or know of others that need, then please add your comment.. ian - dansk - i don't know if you still come on here, but if you do, know that i still think about you and still wonder how you are doing.
i'll be sending you some good thoughts and a letter your way...check the mail.. .
Very thoughtful of you LouBelle...
...to all in need~
how do you deal with "no faith"?
what do you put faith in?
how was you transition from belief to non belief?
nvr,
in all honesty, you provided a great reply to this thread.
It goes with the common belief that atheists are arrogant and think they have it all figured out.
This statement is self explanatory enough. Why dig out a comment from another poster and bring it to this thread in a sarcastic way to reinforce your point?

Nate(Know it all ex-elder that has got it all figured out and thinks that everything can be put in a nice, neat little package. Oh, let's not forget, pompous asshole too.)
That was totally uncalled for on this thread~
on another thread i asked: .
"f i do not renounce my atheism, repent and start believing in and worshipping the christian god, what will happen to me?".
i do not want your judgement or your opinion i want to know what your church/faith teaches on the subject or the fate of unbelievers.. no platitudes, please.
Was *summer* taught incorrectly?
Yes, perhaps *summer* was taught incorrectly. Or perhaps she did not pay enough attention in boring religion classes with the nuns. Or perhaps she just did not care.
The bottom line is...I have no idea what happens to an atheist who does not repent...just as I have no idea as to what happens to an atheist who does repent. And to make matters even worse, each religion and cult has their own take on it.
We can all speculate until we die...then we will know~

and he does forgive you when you go to your private place sometimes you can't right a wrong,as long as you add the one you wronged and mean it,we pay all sins through death, christ did that for us!
no i'm not planting seeds!
Live and let live. Agree to disagree. Those are the secrets.
And when they both fail {because they will at times, believe me!}...well, this is a forum. Click on a more pleasant or suitable thread. And learn to ignore the posters who really push your buttons
Take care~
i blame it on the summer heat.
it was a spur of the moment thing.
years to obtain, i lost in a few minutes.
Yes. Feels like you had your hair cut short.
