Well, in the past, you hardly were exposed to the GB except thru assemblies or an occational quote in a mag. We had no idea how weird the individuals were. Now that they are so out front it is impossible to hide their lack of education, morals, insanity etc. I now say the borg really does embrace a trinity....Jah, Jesus, and the GB. In fact, the GB seems to have more power than the other two.

while i question the organization's self reporting numbers, i think 2018 may be the year for another mass us exodus.

It seems obvious they are liquidating. I think MANY will watch Remini's show. Almost everyone you meet either knows a JW or has one in their family....they will watch. I think many in the borg will secretly watch. the whole language of the JW has completely changed since the 60's. The term "Governing Body" make me sick. It's like a sci fi movie.

Since they have sold the properties in Brooklin and are closing branches as well as selling the Kingdom Halls I think they are liquidating. Eventually they will be only on-line. Then they will die.

it sure seems (i experienced this when i was young) that the elders have a commonality in trying to create such shame and sexual guilt (especially where none is deserved) that it is beyond abuse.
i know there are a lot of former elders here.

I know there are a lot of former elders here. Does the society train the elders to think like dirty old men in their questioning. Are there training lessons for this at elder schools or elder books?

I'm a born in. I believe my mother had post partem depression. I think most who join are looking for direction in their lives. Want definitions. Want someone to tell them what and how to live. A lot of emotional wrecks and mental issues. If someone believes the common misconception that the bible is Gods Word they can be misled.

i heard a local congo-abongo-i is launching a campaign™ to place as amny magazines as possible in the month (this or next...not sure..sources sketchy).

Hoping I can stay

Is the Bible truly inspired?
by MrRoboto inso i was reading the book of daniel, starting with chapter 4 (nebuchadnezzar's famous tree chopping/banding dream where the 7 times is introduced) but i noticed that when you don't cherry pick verses and just read straight thru - it really seems like some children's book that was poorly written.
even though the borg says that this book as written by daniel, chapter 4 is clearly written by "king nebuchad·nezzar to all the peoples, nations, and language groups dwelling in all the earth" after the tree chopping business.
) of the rest of the chapters seem to be written in 3rd person (odd, if you are writing about your experiences).

People get duped in "Christianity" because of the false idea that the bible is the word of God. People are raised with this lie and it becomes their "default" mechanism. This sets you up to be led by this ring in your nose depending on your life situation . (Usually hard times that you have no currant answer for) then you are vulnerable for Christian preditors just waiting to throw a few scriptures with warnings if you don't take heed. People really know that the Catholic Church decided which ancient books to include in the present cannon. Making sure nothing was included that would question church dogma. Dogma, politics and power decided what would be in "Gods Word".....God had nothing to do with anything. It's ALL man made.
