  I NEED AN OPERATION!

  i have just been told that i have an ovarian cyst and need an operation to remove it.

  apparently ihave had it a long time and it is a rather bizarre form of cyst called a dermoid cyst.

  i was wondering if any of the ladies on jwn have had the same type or know anything about them?

  Time can heal, but not completely

  it's been a long time since i looked in here; even longer since i posted.

  i don't recognise hardly anyone on the site now, but remember the support from posters when things were very difficult for me, as i made the decision to leave the watch tower.

  it was a so painful not being able to have my jw son and baby grand daughter and not having them in my life any more and still hurts two years later, but it is bearable now most of the time.. i don't regret leaving because i couldn't live a lie after i knew it was a cult.

  i found this information about how we may be viewed as ex jw members as to our credibility on the things we say about the wt.

  i found it a little worrying to be honest, so i thought i would take a long, hard look at myself.

  academics debate as to the reliability of the testimonies of critical former members (apostates).

  My wounds opened up badly today

  the past three weeks having been so stressful and very sad.

  my ex husband died after being in hospital for just over a week in intensive care.. i was just 18 and he was 21 when we first met and after a whirlwind romance we married 6 months later and have two sons together who are now adults.

  although our marriage ended after 25 years and i remarried 7 years ago, he was my first love and i knew him for most of my life.

  Reaching Out To Cult Victims

  since leaving the wt i have been on quite a personal journey (metaphorically speaking).

  i have managed to survive the emotional distress caused by being a jw, discovering it is a mind control cult, and all the consequences that ensued when i decided to leave.

  i have been called an apostate and shunned by my jw son, which means i am not allowed to see my only grand child any more.

  Conversation with an elder today!

  i was at work today and low and behold an elder from the kh i used to go to came in.

  i never got to know him very well but he always struck me as pleasant and mild mannered.

  the thing is i stopped going to meetings over a year ago and am now, as i have already shared, being shunned by my jw son and his wife and can't see my beautiful little grand daughter any more.. i haven't officially dissassociated and not met with any elders but don't care what action they take as they can't do any more damage to me now.

  i want to share with you all a most wonderful experience i have just had.

  i have been going to a christian church called the vineyard.

  they have a live band and lots of singing goes on there.
