  I see when the WTBS got thrown off the Beast, it found another to ride, drunken.

  Makes you wonder why Jesus didn't go and make friends with Pontius Pilate, since he was the "governemental authority".

  Blood and the WTBS

  today i got into a discussion with our congregations biggest blood ban defenders, while sitting at the doctors office.

  after lecturing me on not having a blood key chain, i mentioned about the flash of blood that happens when inserting an iv, that the blood was "transfused" back into the person.

  she didn't believe me at first but the nurse confirmed the drops of blood.. this really upset her since she has been in the hospital quite a bit since aging.

  Today I got into a discussion with our congregations biggest blood ban defenders, while sitting at the doctors office. After lecturing me on not having a blood key chain, I mentioned about the flash of blood that happens when inserting an IV, that the blood was "transfused" back into the person. She didn't believe me at first but the nurse confirmed the drops of blood.

  This really upset her since she has been in the hospital quite a bit since aging. She picked up her cell phone and speed dialed NY and asked about this "blood issue", the brother on the other end of the line (the sister has her phone on speaker to aid in hearing) just kept repeating that it was a "matter of conscience" over and over to each of her questions. Finally I a took the phone and ask if we couldn't find the answer in the publications? "Matter of Conscience". Then I asked if we could speak to someone that could answer the question, he said that regarding all question of blood the official response of the WTBS is that it is a "matter of conscience"

  This frustrated her greatly, I spoke to her about choosing riches over God, how the WTBS seemed to care more about covering there assets, then guiding honest hearted ones to Jehovah's will. The questions she started to ask then astonished me, she had had doubts all along but was fierce to keep up her resolve.

  So I guess if a loved one is in need of blood, it would be wise for them to hear from the Tower itself that it is matter of conscience. That this is now about personal choice and not of spiritual suicide.

  The Hospital Liason is obsolete...LOL

  Children at the meetings, how did you cope

  my son was about 5 years old when we stopped going to the meetings.

  the other day i asked him what he remembers about them (his now 14 years old).

  he remembered the puzzles i bought him to play with during the meetings.. he remembered that i packed a sandwich and some juice for him to eat in case he got hungry.. when he got board i use to take him outside for a walk around the kh garden.

  When I was a child, there was no talking, fidgeting, or anything. It stayed that way until I was an adult.

  I on the other hand brought cheerios, water, coloring books etc, much to the disapproval of the BOE for my children.We take "breathers" and go outside. Interestingly we recently had the PO's Wife of the Spanish congregation start attending our book study to improve her English, she let her child run up and down the seats, dropping cheerios all along the way.....LOL she is a delightful 3 year old and made my kids look like complete angels.

  Kids will be kids, love them and cherish them.

  On another note the strictest parents are always converts.

  i work for a telecommunications company and in so doing, i deal with a lot of fraud.

  now, what i am about to say could come across as racist and i hope people read the whole thing to get what i am saying and know i am not racist (... to add though, i really am past caring what people think).

  in the state of north carolina, you can run up your phone bill to $1000's and $1000's and by law you only have to pay basic local service to keep services on.

  I have to say that I have read many things by Dr. Poissant. I recently caught both he and Cosby on Tim Russet, their argument is sincere. The level of expectation needs to rise.

  That said many have risen, and are not recognized , to those CHEERS!

  Silent Lambs

  so was this all about money or what?

  i was hoping silent lambs would resist the money and push for the exposure of the criminals.

  instead they cave in to the gag order and they took the money and ran!

  Silent Lambs had no control as to the decision to accept a out-of-court settlement. My understanding is that the Judge told the WTBS he was going to okay a subpoena for an alleged "sex offender database", at this the WTBS made an offer the victims found too good to refuse, must have been a very large sum.

  Now the WTBS is in the same boat as the Catholic Church. Bet we won't see anymore publications denouncing the settling of abuse cases.

  I think Silent Lambs is a noble endeavor. It gives victims a place to go, to find comfort and assistance finding legal counsel regarding possible lawsuits.

  All of this is just more evidence that "God's chosen sole channel" has clearly put "RICHES" over God.

  in the "good old days" prophecy flowed from the watchtower like water.

  remember the revelation book.

  the king of the north and south was the cold war, there was no "conscience decisions" organ transplant is canabalism, no if's or buts.

  They are lost, without a map and no idea which way to go. They still have hardliners, but the younger generations sees mainstreaming as the only means of financial survival. Eventually we will see more and more mainstreaming.

  When Elders go too Far...

  this is just something that really peed me off regarding the elders, is how low they are sinking to get gossip and stuff now, i was in contact with a well trusted friend of mine who used to attend meetings up until 2 years ago, his wife is still in the jw org, he was having a joke around on some text messages with me regarding my man saying "try before you buy" and so on, which i found amusing....lets just say his wife didnt...she snooped on his phone, wrote out the texts he had sent me and gave the transcript to the elders, and now he has to go before a judicial commitee.

  how wrong is that, for a start its an invasion of privacy!

  i was fuming yesterday when i found out.

  She is desparate, frustrated and hormonal......give her a break.

  Yes she should have gone to him privately first, but again sounds like she is seeking something that he is not giving her. Pregnancy can make all your emotions hyper!

  Seems like the WTBS is using more and more worldly people and organizations to do it's dirty work.

  This months favorite scripture in addition to my standard:

  Luke 16: 13 No house servant can be a slave to two masters; for, either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stick to the one and despise the other. Y OU cannot be slaves to God and to riches.”

  Guess we know whom the WTBS firmly slaves too

  1 Cor 7:23 Y OU were bought with a price; stop becoming slaves of men.

  Such timely "spiritual food" from a confirmed "annoited slave"
