How many of you have food stored in case of an emergency??
by Lady Liberty ingood evening everyone,.
another topic here made me think of the mormons who are counseled to have a years worth of food on hand in the event of an emergency.
food, water, money and gas are all things suggested to save.

During the blackout a few years ago, we realized we had to stock up on a few things. Now we have water and non perishable goods stored and cash on hand if needed. I would like to get a generator but have nowhere to put it.
I really want to get one of those crank up flash lights. We had the power go out a few weeks ago and while candles are nice, not really practical for moving around. Not to mention trying to see what size battery you are searching for with the candle held so close to your face is not safe.

in the past i've gotten her a matching jewelry set, a super-comfy reclining office chair for her computer area, a massage pad, and other things i can't remember.

You can get her a golden gilded rose put it in the center of a bouquet of red roses.
After the live ones die, she'll have this as a keepsake.

Can men discuss feminism critically?
by Paralipomenon ini am currently studying some of the issues of the feminist movement.
one of my first observations is that men are really not welcome in the discussion.
all the reference books and topics i have looked at so far are written by women.

Just kidding babe, you know how I feel about feminism. I think the rabid feminists of our generation have all but ruined society. There are men and women for a reason and when each properly accomplishes their roles, a natural balance is achieved.
Man is not better than Woman or the other way around. Each has a strong suit that benefits each other.

Going under the knife tomorrow morning :S
by Elsewhere ini'm not a big fan of surgery.
i always exhaust all non-surgical options before doing it.
i know enough about medicine to know that surgery is effectively a controlled injury... and that makes me nervous.

Not to take away from your situation, but would that kind of surgery help a man who snores?
Take care of yourself and stay nicely medicated. Last time I had surgery I couldn't take any pain meds during the day cause I didn't want to pass out on the kids. Not fun. If you have the chance to sleep away the pain, DO IT.

Roller's gotta ROLL!
by RollerDave inoh, i was pissed off beyond words.. i am leaving, though it looked like i might not for a bit.. we got a big trip planned to the north shore of lake superior where we have rented a geodesic dome cabin, and i was getting the aposta-truck checked and serviced for the long long drive.
i got the platform on the back, built my steel folding ramp, sweet setup so i can take my scoot and have a modicum of freedom and self respect.. all is good until they start the oil change.. i had extensive diagnostic work done at a garage i had trusted and they had said my cooling system was not losing pressure, they took like two days to do these tests.
i figures it must be the radiator cap or the overflow that was doing it.. the oil change guys, who were not the one's who did my diagnostics, found my oil to be like a milkshake!
