After twenty four years of loyal service, I am about to commit treason...
by CaptainSchmideo inof a sort.. i have been with the same company for 24 years, and the last 5 have not been very enjoyable for me.
i like the owner of the company, but the management team is terrible, and the dept.
i work in (tech service) is demoralized.

Honestly, you should have left a long time ago. The company will and can survive without you. If you're in technology and tried getting a job somewhere else without an "in" you would definitely be on the "out" because 24 years at one place no longer reads as loyalty on an IT resume.
Don't be the hamster on the wheel...

How long until we see a "Sunday School" program?
by Cinciguy74 inso we are seeing wt videos aimed at children, a feature for children in the watchtower aimed at young children, just how long until we start seeing some form of a sunday school for young children?.
i know in the past it has been ridiculed by the wts, but the reality is that it is a better method for teaching children than sitting in the kh where they can't sit still for more than 5 minutes anyway..

Maybe sometime next year. I don't think it will be Sunday School but during the Theocratic Ministry School. Most halls now have an 'A','B' and 'C' school but not enough participants to actually use all three rooms. The other rooms usually get used by Moms with restless children.
The school would be lead by a married couple with some type of position in the congregation (pioneer, elder, etc). I definitely see it happening.

It struck me odd as well that he was coming home from school alone. Also, I think its only recently that they've start to show women wearing pants in non-theocratic settings. In another 30 years, maybe they will show them wearing nail polish.

When I first saw it, I thought someone was reporting back bad information. Then I was waiting for the punchline. Then I realized it was real. Then I was hit with uncontrollable laughter.
Someone did mention that the DC talk that introduces the DVD advised the JWs not to question the new teaching methods of the GB. These are the same people that have criticized other religions use of cartoons to teach biblical principals because as they put it you don't need gimmicks when you are teaching the truth.

This changes nothing for JWs. To the JWs it will be seen as the Mormons being divided and unbiblical. The JWs, in their minds, will still reign supreme.
Even if droves of JWs started to come out as gay, nothing would change. There would just be more dramas on it at the DC.

Are the Witnesses opposing God with their twisted view of "higher education"?
by matt2414 inmsnbc is reporting that "the government reported friday that the unemployment rate for college graduates fell slightly in may, to 3.9 percent from 4 percent a month earlier.
for people with just a high school degree, the unemployment rate increased to 8.1 percent, from 7.9 percent a month earlier.".
the bible says at 1 tim.

1. Those stats going down are not to be trusted those...after someone has been unemployed for certain length of time they are no longer counted. The stat is more meaningful when stays the same or it goes up.
2. The JWs translate that scripture to mean when one has a way to support their family and choose not too. If its because you can't find a job because you didn't get an education, then its Satan persecuting a loyal servant of Jehovah.
3. The whole religion is twisted.
