understanding deep things requires study.

anyone who teaches with holy spirit is part of the FDS, all those back then were annointed, if the system goes on for another ten yrs of WT they will have to change this to any from the GC could be part of the FDS especially the elders as they teach in the congregation directed by Gods holy spirit.

I think that is what they could be aiming for as the system is just going on and on. As I said on another thread when I first came into the religion it was unheard of any annointed being under 60 and nobody ever thought a younger person could ever be annointed, that has changed and the annointed seem to be getting younger and younger.

anyway, i was searching the wt 2006 cd and i came across this qfr that has nothing to do with what i was looking for, but i could not believe what i was reading.

this has to be one of the most inane "reasonings" from the scriptures i have ever read.

Besides, as an uncircumcised, unnamed infant it had not as yet developed any personality pattern or consciousness so as to appreciate life.

Psalms 139:16 says Jehovah saw even the embryo... so this is the scripture JW use in anti-abortion defence. Because if Jeh knew the embryo it had a right to live because it was classified a person, with personality. Contradiction don't you think.

i hope it worked.

my intent with the title of this thread was to attract both believers and non-believers.

whenever a thread appears promoting the wonders of jesus, it will inevitably develop into a back and forth discussion ad nauseam.. i was born into a family that believed there was a god, he had a son jesus and his word was the bible.

The best discussions about Jesus I have had are with people that are not religious, but have a christian mind but not nesasarily religious, I would call them spiritual. For example they believe that no miricles happened but rather what was written was philoshical and we can learn the principle behind the 40 fishes and loaves.

Also those that dont have a religion but believe in Jesus are also so much easier to debate with or disguss different things pertaining to the bible, once dogma enters (religion) all irrational thought gets lost and it can turn into a war of is jesus a trinity or not and does the preaching of the kingdom mean to go door to door, you know what I mean.

I think Ghandi got it right, when he said if eveyone tried to live by the principles Jesus set out from the sermon on the mount the world would be a better place.

Relgion hyjacked Jesus as they did the creator.

Interesting-Account Servant uses his own $ to pay bills

about a month ago we were invited to an old friend from our old congregation to attend a bonfire.

this was before we finally started telling people were weren't going to meetings.

at any rate, my husband was talking to the guy who took over the accounts when my husband left and he was saying that donations have dwindled significantly.

Never heard of any witness believing in or attending a bonfire, that is a very wicker thing and the origins of bonfires have to do with witches and murder and setting people alive alight in wicker baskets, it is a very demonic heratige.

Death Walk

this morning when i left church i was scooting down the side street close to my building and lo and behold for the first time in months and months i see two witnesses going from door to door.

i knew immediatley they were jw's .

as the sauntered up the street to the door it was as if they were doing a death walk, .

I know what you mean, one elder walks around with is bible in clutched in both ins hands and all in black like in the exocist, this is when he visits the week like he is the pope the assigned one to help this inactive rebellious sheep and he is the saviour, I know because it was me they were calling, was funny because the D.O was with him and he being a young in the troof elder calling on someone that has been baptised of over 30yrs and inactive and out of the troof for years, would have been a real hoot for him, and a learning thing, I was savy to the whole thing and pretended I was on another plane and had not really any idea why they would want to try and help me, there was nothing wrong with me, other than i had been discouraged because of lack of love, they didn't buy that, they were concerned about what I knew about the society, but at the time I really knew nothing, except that they are cold and pushy, they didn't care that I thought that.

The End of Jehovah`s Witness`s

we see alot of topics on the board about the end of the wbt$..i don`t think that will happen in our lifetime........so..lets change our focus..kingdom halls are getting fewer and fewer jw`s in them..congregations are being dissolved and kingdom halls are sold off..many jw`s are very unhappy and we see alot of them on this board.....the wbt$ is a billion dollar organization,they will survive for along time to come..........how about the jehovah`s witness`s?.......with fewer and fewer members..information about the wbt$ on the internet..and..some very depressed jehovah`s witness`s looking for a way out of the cult they are in.....will the "jehovah`s witness`s" survive?...outlaw

It is sad really JW are used as free labour, in fact the average JW uses their money for petrol pay for the literature and their time to go door to door and give out the magazines and other WT publications. Next we have the maintence of KH the cleaning and the giving to support Bethel and the World Wide witnessing, it is a huge amount of money, think about it. there are only 6 million, take away 3million that would not be contributing much, these would be kids, poorer ones, disadvantaged but the WTS makes heaps, the generosity of the b/s is what they rely on, without that they sink so it is important that they keep them under their control. I think their will be some more of this control happening as many are educated on the net and through word of mouth.

I have come to realise that some in the troof love being controled, love the routine of it, and the men love being the head, love the positions of glory in the org and many enjoy giving talks, some women love being in subjection and adore there loving elder husbands giving talks and they feel so part of it, looked up to.

Thats what I think....then you have others that are struggling they haven't really givent themselves over to the organization as such, they prod along and do what they can, mind their buisness and go because they love Jehovah. Then you have some that are misfits and mental cases.
