I am grateful for leaving the watchtower corporation. Innit!
by punkofnice ini dislike long topics......so here it is.. i suffered for my religion, now it's your turn.. when i first left the corporation my life exploded into a suicidal chaos.. my family broke up.
i lost my so called friends.. luckily, i had worldly friends from all walks of life that supported me, even though they had no idea why i was so suicidal.
in as much as they hadn't left cults.. i went from the corporation to a baptist church.

Side effect of Downsizing......$$$
by Tech49 inso here is a tidbit you will all just love!.
we all are hearing of the trend right now to ¨downsize¨ the congregations...ie... eliminate by combining, in order to blah blah blah... .
here is what you didnt know: every time a congregation is dissolved, for whatever reason, including merging or dispersing, wt makes money!

WT Society leaders are totally using fear, guilt, and mind control tactics to steal rank & file JW's hard earned money from them. Lies and false promises too. By using loaded expressions like - " donate to the worldwide work " or " donate to the kingdom interests " , even the once a year articles that come out every September or October in the WT explaining in DETAIL how JW's can donate through every means possible ( trust funds, life insurance policies, jewelry, cars, inheritances ) I mean for christ's sakes - then WT rips Witnesses off by taking any excess money in kingdom hall accounts for " worldwide work " or " kingdom interests " ? It's a scam of epic proportions !
And WT is even using this scam as I posted on another thread in siphoning off funds from donations for JW hurricane victims - allegedly - by insisting that NO food, NO clothing, or NO money be marked for " hurricane relief " - but that ANY donations HAVE to be marked for " the worldwide work " . That way there's no transparency and WT financial leaders can use these funds anyway they want - i.e. like paying out child abuse lawsuits or victims - or fattening up secret offshore bank accounts for the WT Society. Makes me so angry I'd like to spit. Bernie Madoff didn't have anything on these WT crooks

I knew of another case up in the state of Washington that occurred and a person I know tried to get the police involved and the elders just kept protecting this pedophile that my friend was trying to expose. Ignoring this persons attempt to get justice for abused children. Eventually it came out that the child molester had molested again even after the elders were warned time and time again and eventually the molester was DFed, but not until he had done immeasurable damage within a certain congregation. My friends warnings had been ignored for years. It is absolutely criminal how the WT Society and circuit overseers and elders do everything in their power to PUT children at risk within congregations. Somehow, someway - I wish the FBI would get involved with prosecuting this damned cult the WT Society and pursue it's leaders with the same vigor that they pursued Warren Jeffs in that Mormon cult he had going years ago. I'm so tired of hearing about JW children being molested with no real justice being done. It's time for WT Society to pay for their crimes

...and so the shunning begins
by Phoebe ini am now officially 'inactive' so am no longer chased by an elder a for a report.
the congregation i belonged to never had much time for me anyway, i said once i could drop down dead in the k.hall and no one would notice.
so i never expected anyone to be particularly bothered that i wasn't there and they aren't.

PHOEBE- I'm so sorry that you are experiencing this. Me too. Count you and me among others here who have lost lots of folks we once considered " friends " who were Jehovah's Witnesses. Now after not attending meetings myself for 14 years- I look back at them as conditional acquaintance's I once had who liked me because I shared the same skewed belief system they had. It still hurts that they chose to shun me, but in reality I have made much more nicer friends EX-JW's and Non-JW's who accept me and really SEE me for the person that I am- not the person that they WANTED me to be. It's taken years for me to learn the difference and see the difference, but it has helped some of that hurt we feel go away in time, the hurt of rejection. It does take time for sure.
Just want you to know that I care, we all care here and I enjoy your posts and insights here on the board . Please know that we feel you. If you ever want to chat, just PM me and me and my wife will keep in touch, O.K. ? Hang in there sis

WT Society is getting everything they deserve that's coming to them in a negative way. They can only hide behind their ' religious ' mask for so long- bad karma will end up biting them big time and they will have to pay for their crimes. WT leaders and WT heavy's are NOT above the laws of the land

Family events(when you actually get invited)
by Jayk init's hard for me to go to any event with witness family i havent seen in a long time..i have a pretty personal story that i don't care to share but since the incident, my mom's family stopped talking to me..when i go to family events everything feels fake.
i feel like i did something wrong and i'm around people who i'm not good enough to be around.
i went over five years recently not talking to my family (brothers/mom)after my divorce.

JAYK- I totally understand what you're going through and how you feel. I'm the youngest of my siblings and the ONLY one who got out of the Witnesses about 14 years ago. I wasn't DFed, but just stopped going due to not agreeing with the WT Society and their injustices. Any time that I've gotten together with my 3 older JW siblings- it's always been an " official " function like an occasional wedding or funeral. And although we hugged, there really isn't much conversation because most all they want to discuss is what's happening in Jehovah's Witness land - as they feel THAT is the only important thing to discuss. WT Society influences them to feel that family, personal relationships don't really matter - but only WT functions and JW issues matter.
So like yourself, my conversations with them get very stunted with both me and them grappling for words to say or to try to have normal conversations. Since I'm probably the best conversationalist in my family ( JW or NON -JW I got that from my mom ) I can carry a conversation but I end up doing most of the talking because my JW relatives have a " goal " or an " agenda " when talking to me - which is trying to steer or control the conversation BACK to JW speak and topics. But I just steer it back to family topics and ask how their lives are going ? And I get short, clipped answers like " fine " or " we are doing fine " . I mean it's so stunted it's ridiculous. I have much better conversations with the 50 % of my family who are Ex-JW's as at least they'll talk about anything. You'll find that our JW relatives are extremely limited in what they'll talk to us about because in their brains- they are already pre-judging you and me as " heathens " or unfit disbelievers in their organization. It is what it is. Try hanging out with any ex-JW or Non-JW relatives you have. I believe it will make you happier and brighten your day - as well as lighten your load as regards to stress. Who needs stressful relations when it comes to relatives anyway ? My 2 cents. Put yourself around people who see and appreciate YOU for being YOU. Good luck, take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

2 witness rule
by punkofnice ini'm gobsmacked.. the 7 rock star popes in warwick know darned well that the 2 witness rule allows child rapists to get away with their crime.. geoff (whacko jacko) jackson was at the australian royal commission and should have seen first hand what a vile man made law the 2 witness rule is.. my question is, why do they still insist on this pervert protecting rule?.
i know it's a highly controlling cult but still...........................stuff my old boots, mate!.
the above is more a rhetorical question.

Punk- The JW's take everything literally many times in the Bible so when they read this stupid crap about " at the mouth of two witnesses every matter must be established " - it's like the old expression we used to hear kids say in school when we were young " this I know, for the Bible tells me so. "
WT leaders and JW's are so naive and gullible they actually believe most of this junk in the Bible. However they prefer to believe Bible junk that will help them save their financial empire. So they pick and choose which Bible junk they'll use - and which junk they'll ignore. And at the end of the day WT leaders feel they are " entitled " to make these decisions on behalf of 8 million gullible JW's because they think Jesus and Jehoover have chosen them to lead these 8 million JW's into the imaginary " paradise".
It's insane, but hey a bunch of sociopathic, narcissistic nutcases run the WT Society- so what are we to do ? Just expose them as best we can ! Take care buddy, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Watchtower Loses an Appeal
by TerryWalstrom inpublication court of appeal, fourth appellate district division one state of california osbaldo padron, plaintiff and respondent, v. watchtower bible and tract society of new york, inc., defendant and appellant.findingwatchtower has abused the discovery process.
it has zealously advocated its position and lost multiple times.
yet, it cavalierly refuses to acknowledge the consequences of these losses and the validity of the court's orders requiring it to produce documents in response to request number 12. and, in a further act of defiance, watchtower informed the court that it would not comply with the march 25, 2016 order 39 requiring it to produce documents responsive to request number 12. the court, following lopez, supra, 246 cal.app.4th 566, as an incremental step toward terminating sanctions if watchtower persists in its unjustified conduct, imposed monetary sanctions.

The chickens are coming home to roost and crap all over WT leaders heads for their arrogance. I hope WT leaders wade in their own stinky situation made through this arrogance thinking they are above the law
