  Former Elder insights on recent Child Abuse Cases & changes in the Org

  this former elder, was briefly featured on pbs segment about child abuse among jehovah's witnesses.

  in this youtube interview, he is asked about some of his experiences in the org from 1971 to the present.. at about 16:10 he starts telling his story about his involvement with trey bundy, and how he got to know jonathan kendrick, from the candace conti case.. for some reason, this video is starting 15 minutes in, and i can't get the link to start at zero.... you can always rewind ;-).

  The Unique Power, Control and Status of the GB Members

  something to reflect upon is the real unregulated, power and control the gb members have.. such as they themselves cant be judged for their practice as being true christians according to bible scripture.. an example of that power and control,.... j rutherford the once head leader of the wts.

  lived with a female assistant when he was separated from his wife ???

  she declared that she was very much his wife in court under oath .

  so all known gays had been kicked out and disfellowshipped before i got to bethel and gays got kicked and disfellowshipped and disgraced when i was there.

  Thanks for sharing this info New Boy. Why does this not surprise me ? The WT leaders did nothing to prosecute alleged child abuse crimes of Ted Jaracz - so the 11 % figure of pedophiles on the Governing Body was probably higher than 11 % . This is important information to get out there so as to expose the criminal aiding and abetting of felony child abuse within the upper echelons of the WT Society. In time my hope is that WT leaders will be FORCED by laws of the land to hand over the huge database file containing names of ALL the thousands of JW's that were considered pedophiles. Because THAT is when it will be exposed that these GB members were NOT reported to law authorities and were allowed for years to not only exist in congregations- but actually child molesters were allowed to run the WT Society itself ! We can only hope the wheels of justice will start rolling a bit faster. People need to know who and what is really behind this criminal organization- Jehovah's Witnesses & WT Society

  Good thread Fink. As I've said recently on other threads- the real danger of the governing body inside Jehovah's Witnesses is their unchecked power over the 7 or 8 million JW's worldwide. Nobody questions it within the organization because they are controlled as if in a Stockholm Syndrome where rank & file JW's are INDOCTRINATED to identify with their captors - the GB. JW's are taught to support these bastards - or die at " Armageddon " - essentially. So through FEAR and GUILT - many JW's just stay in it- being too frightened to expose the corruption within the organization - as they fear what will happen to them like shunning, ostracism, loneliness, or if they believe the lie " death " at an imaginary " Armageddon " . Mind control is a bitch my friend. Seriously.

  Look at how people were threatened in Hitlers Germany- and you can get an idea of how powerful men can control so many people. It's disgusting

  there is usually a metamorphosis that takes place for a person to leave the jehovah's witness religion.

  most people do not just up and go simply because they realize this could not be the truth.

  it often takes time.. for those that go to meetings or engage in the ministry, will you forever continue doing these things, knowing that it is all bs?

  To play off of what Pete just said, many of these JW's who still attend aren't only victims of their " own hope " - but they are victims in the sense that they don't even realize that what they are being taught is all BS ! The " paradise' , " living forever " , " no more death, sickness " - is all a bunch of lies taught by the WT Society to these people - lies that the ( WT leaders ) can NEVER deliver on to JW people !

  But WT leaders TEACH and PROMOTE these lies in order to keep JW's under control. And threaten them with - " you'll fall into Satan's grasp if you leave our Jehovah's Witness organization and be destroyed at ' Armageddon ' " - so through FEAR and GUILT JW's are kept enslaved because they think if they leave that their life is over. Rank & file JW's are in a Stockholm Syndrome situation whereby they are indoctrinated to make excuses for the evil WT bastards who are running their lives. They are enslaved , yet taught to love their slaveholders ! And taught to make excuses for any wrongdoing, criminal or unethical conduct on the part of governing body members and taught to trust and support faulty child abuse policies . So with THAT kind of pressure put on JW's - is it any wonder that they wilt like flowers in the sun as their minds are totally gone- manipulated through cult mind control ? Only the honest and justice loving JW's who suffer bad treatment themselves will be courageous enough to rip the band aid off and say - " enough is enough , I'm out of here " and leave. I hope more do so for sure as time goes on. One reason I stay on this board to be here for them

  has any one had this feeling

  i remember having this feeling when i was younger that something was off when it came to meetings and the people there seemed just off.i had feelings like that when i was like 5 or 6 and i would say i was kinda dumb back then but still i had a feeling like that when i would not have that often.still to this day i dont know what got me to have that feeling i was just wanting to know if any had this feeling to and still cant remember what made your mind give you a red flag..

  AKID- I totally know what you mean. I was born into the Witnesses and raised up by a strict elder father. ( Thank god I had a caring, loving mom. ) But I'd be chastised for listening to Led Zeppelin as a teenager, or if my sideburns got below the middle of my ear on my face I'd get, " you know that teenage brother in the kingdom hall ? You're an elders son and you are supposed to set an example ! If you grow your hair longer or your sideburns longer - he will too ! " I just argued with my dad that he shouldn't be " judging " me. Then he would come back and insist I had no " right " to insist on my rights- I had a duty to set a good " example " in the kingdom hall for other young people.

  Truth of the matter is my dad was worried about how it made HIM look as an elder. So I got a lot of that. I think as my teenage years ended- I began to quietly within myself see just how bat shit crazy this JW cult was and the way I was being raised was way out of line. You bet my friend, many of us have lived this indeed. Hang in there kiddo- we are here for you and with you as well. Take care, be strong until you can get old enough to find your own place to live.   CHA CHING- Thanks for posting this. Great interview with this elder . This particular guy happens to be a friend of mine as you might know- and he handled himself with dignity, courage, and valor as good or better than anybody else who would have been faced with the incredibly difficult task of staring down a man eating criminal organization like the WT Society. I'm very proud of this elder. Proud to call him a friend. These challenges remind me very much of what Lea Remini and Mike Rinder went through in trying to expose criminal behavior within Scientology.

  What happens is when these huge fake religious corporations like Scientology & JW's feel threatened it becomes , " deny, deny, deny." And then people like this elder who try to expose criminal behavior get blamed and ostracized by the very elders he served with which is like a hit to his stomach as these were the same guys that USED to speak the truth to him for 30 years. It's very tough to see as an EX-JW people we formerly used to respect - other JW's or elders - lying to protect the criminal policies of the WT Society . I've experienced seeing unethical behavior within my own extended JW family and it certainly opens your eyes to TTATT.

  Sometimes when we try to do right and stand up on the behalf of child abuse victims, or others who have been betrayed by the WT organization- and we get negative feedback from JW's we once knew- it seems like " no good deed goes unpunished " .

  But that's not what's really happening. Many JW's within the WT organization are essentially mentally ill. Basically they are under mind control to be enslaved to thought processes that will not allow them to speak against the WT Society leaders. I would venture to say - that if Governing Body members were exposed in the media for practicing child abuse, murder , extortion, or fraud - many current JW's would dismiss the media news as " false " , " lies " , or as " media inspired by Satan the Devil " . These people are controlled through FEAR and GUILT to support Scientology or Jehovah's Witnesses views - no matter what. They are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome whereby they are taught to support and identify, even SYMPATHIZE with their captors - the Governing Body of the WT Society. WT leaders are people like the old expression of "misery loves company" - so WT leaders drag down every single JW with them into an unethical mire full of pig shit.

  The silver lining to the cloud is people like this former elder on the video exposing this WT corruption. Any one of us as EX-JW's can be proactive in our exposing the WT Society for what it truly is- a criminal organization abusing children, murdering people with their no blood transfusion policy, and splitting families up with their shunning practices. Being agnostic as I am - I don't feel a " God " will do anything against the WT Society. But I feel the WT Society may eventually push their luck too much and bad Karma may bite them in the behind with governments shutting them down, or criminal indictments against them for fraud, child abuse at the top of the organization. I mean- look what's happening in Russia. It's high time that unethical organizations like Scientology & Jehovah's Witnesses get exposed and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We have enough abuse of power in the United States as it is.

  Congrats on a great video and if more folks keep doing what this former elder is doing in exposing this criminal cult - more people will be informed about how to break free in their lives and in their minds

  Yeah, I agree with Pete . This is definitely " let's cover our WT legal ass " at work here. WT Society is having great difficulty in putting out all their legal " fires " right now , especially regarding child abuse cases around the world - so they do not trust local elders to handle the elite , creepy guys that the WT Society appoints and if they commit crimes like child abuse - WT leaders want first chance at preventing any incriminating evidence from hitting the media, courts, police authorities, or god forbid " worldly " attorneys.

  The pace is quickening where WT Society's legal balls are getting clamped down in a vise - so they are using tactics to avoid more clamping- before they start bleeding out more publicly in news media drawing attention to just how evil and demented the leaders of their organization are. I say " let them bleed " . Evil bastards

  Anybody watch Game of Thrones?

  i started watching game of thrones and it has become my fav tv show in a long time.

  i may even read the novels.

  i love fantasy novels and movies, i always tried not to like them and felt bad when a new book came out and always gave in and read it lol.

  At least John and the princess got together finally and made love doing the horizontal bop. My wife and I enjoyed that scene. That fire breathing dragon burning down the North wall really sucked though. Next- all hell will break loose. We are big Game of Throne fans. Cool show
