  My brother died last night

  i found out this morning that my brother died last night, he was also an ex jw, 73 years old and died of heart disease and kidney failure.

  it was not totally unexpected, as he had been in poor health, but it's a blow, especially as i just lost another brother two years ago.

  there were six of us, now only four.

  What an absolutely disgusting you tube by the WT Society. Made me sick to my stomach. Young people in their 20's are constantly being bombarded in this organization to sacrifice any financial stability for the sake of " kingdom interests " - translation " WT Society financial interests " . Then these same mind controlled people when they become older people are duped and deceived into giving their inheritances to the WT Society. So you have generation after generation of financial abuse from the WT Society towards it's members - without EVER delivering on the promises of an alleged " paradise " to live " forever " in.

  Just the fact that this you tube has a scene depicting the start of the " great tribulation " is a deceptive ploy to make JW's THINK it's really going to happen. A marketing tool using FEAR to make their thoughts turn to giving up material pursuits for the WT Society's benefit. Just disgusting, mind blowing propaganda

  Once again this video shows the WT Society starts very young people out to not accept other people's private lives. WT Society trains young people at a young age to not respect personal boundaries or privacy of others. And then the JW mother in the video tells her daughter to speak about the fictitious, imaginary alleged " paradise " and fictional " living forever " to her classmate. To offer false hopes to other young people that will never come true in reality is criminal in and of itself. So is putting down another young persons parent for their sexual preference. WT organization does NOT recognize personal boundaries

  Today the two elders did not appear to declare at prosecutor's citation

  today the two elders who stalked my sister were absent at the prosecutor's citation.

  they were waited for 1 hour, but they did not come.

  this attitude favors their culpability.

  Good points Anders & Smiddy. This is an important thread I feel to keep bumped up for the reason that it's exposing the WT Society as a covert organization that is telling it's elders to NOT testify in courts of the land AND WT is apparently instructing elders to secretly call up JW's who they want to kick out- and harass and threaten them with expulsion if these JW's testify or sue the WT or local elders. One way I guess the WT Society leaders feel empowered are the only ways that they know in how to get rid of their enemies - either pay them off exorbitant sums of money to keep them quiet about child abuse- or eliminate these " enemies " who talk too much by DFing them or expelling them out of the congregation.   i remember many years back a fellow ministerial servant saying this to me.

  he felt that even if jehovah’s witnesses were not the only true religion, the regimented routine of meetings and field service and the strict rules and enforcement provided a beneficial structure for his life.

  at the time i thought if this wasn’t “the truth”, i’d have no need for all that “structure”.

  LONDO- Excellent thread ! Bingo, you nailed it. Many of us have the ability to be decent, moral, good human beings without an organization or sky daddy telling us to do so. I've always felt that the " inherited sin from Adam " thing and - " we are such sinners we need direction " thing is a bunch of crap. I think babies are born beautiful and perfect- it's not until they start getting influenced by prejudiced adults around them with skewed views of life and skewed prejudices of others that young people start going astray. And this includes children getting skewed views from their parents religious beliefs as well.

  If a JW would just sit and listen to themselves make this statement in your opening thread, how absurd it sounds, " Even if this wasn't the Truth, I need the Structure ". Great. Then a person is going to live their life on untruths until they die ? And even worse base their lives on " structured untruths " ? Then they get REALLY stuck because it's TOO structured where they can't think for themselves or think critically if these " structured untruths " don't work out very well. It's a dark rabbit hole that many JW's never recover from. Luckily Londo- you HAVE recovered like lots of us here ! A toast to freedom of mind. It's too valuable to ever lose again for any of us !   Hearts going out to those in the Fort Mac area

  a few posters on here live in fort mcmurray, canada where there is a devastating fire.

  one at least has lost her home and beloved dog.

  OPUSDEI 1972- Well, we see that the elder apples don't fall far from the Governing Body tree- do they ? Because GB member Gerrit Losch refused to show up demanded by a Superior court to testify on WT child abuse in the case of Gilbert Campos in San Diego, California , and the WT Society refused to submit documentation from their database files showing there are 20,000 JW pedophiles in the United States alone when a judge demanded them to - and the judge slapped WT Society with a 13.5 million $$$$$ penalty for refusing to show up.

  I wonder what kind of fines these elders will be slapped with if they keep listening to the idiotic WT legal department telling them to rebel against the courts and not show up. Really incredible. WT Society is like a train wreck snowball causing avalanches in everyone's lives. Sick cult. I hope your sister gets justice my friend

  urghhh... what a disgusting study!7 a conflict of loyalties may arise when a close relative is disfellowshipped.

  for example, a sister named anne received a telephone call from her disfellowshipped mother.

  the mother wanted to visit anne because she felt pained by her isolation from the family.

  This is absolutely disgusting information from the WT Society. It's emotional blackmail - so now we know where our JW relatives learn these barbaric, criminal attitudes. It comes down and starts at the top of the WT organization. And filters down into the core soul of most all JW's. The few JW's who DO socialize with dfed relatives have to do it secretly or they'll be an accounting to congregation elders. Such a messed up organization

  when you think about it , in this 21st century of enlightenment , the explosion of information technology in all fields imaginable , yet the majority of humans of all faiths live their lives according to ancient scriptures / writings etc.for a world long past its use by date.. the bible says" faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for " none of the expectations hoped for in the jehovah`s witness religion ever eventuated , and neither has it in any other faith .. faith , of no matter what belief , is the carrot on the end of a stick leading the gullible on , and on , and on .and on.. smiddy.

  Wifibandit- Would you be able to send the PDF of your Massachusetts WT letter of 2002 to the bodies of elders you made a thread about to Irwin Zalkin's law firm before this San Diego court date tomorrow ? Can you E-mail the PDF to his firm ? I'm sure he would use it appropriately in order to prove the WT Society IS aware of the laws- they have just ignored the laws about reporting . Hopefully you can.
