  I could only bear to listen to 3 minutes of the 8 minute Sound Cloud ranting of this mother to her son. If you want to call her a " mother ". I'd call her a mother " something else " at this moment. I wanted to smash my computer screen with my coffee cup I was so mad. Just as I stated on another thread- there are some parents on this planet who should be sterilized and are bat shit crazy who should NEVER have been allowed to become parents.

  The sick, barbaric mind indoctrination of the WT Society that makes crazy people like this JW woman even CRAZIER than they already are- it is at the bottom of what makes JW parents controlling and abusing to their biological children. Children's minds are abused, their freedom of thinking is cut off - with threats of " I don't care about child protection services getting you . You can sit in juvenile hall for all I care. " And then on the other link the woman says she wishes she had aborted her son ? Wow. This is some criminal, heavy mind indoctrination of hate and evil that the WT Society gleefully indoctrinates into JW parents.

  Listening to this stuff makes me glad I escaped over 12 years ago to freedom of mind. And as Gerryberry states in the title of this thread the WT Society cult should be held accountable I feel for crimes against humanity. I hope this young man gets out of his mothers home and bolts for freedom. Just an awful situation for him to live with a sociopathic mother like that

  This is an especially disgusting case of sexual abuse within the JW organization on many different fronts. First this quote, " Sadly her parents chose to conceal the sexual nature of the incident and told her not to say anything about it. They continued to understate the seriousness of the assault, and the matter was swept under the carpet by the church. "

  Disgusting . WHAT kind of parents do this to their daughters ? CRIMINAL parents just like Cognac mentioned. I totally agree with her, these fucking JW parents need to be jailed as well for what they did to their daughter and for what they did NOT do in failing to report the crime to the police ! I swear to god- there are people on this planet who should have their PARENT CARDS ripped away from them and should be forced to be sterilized so they cannot have children.

  5 years is way too little of a punishment for this piece of filth child molester. As I've stated numerous times on this board - the WT Society breeds and trains it's JW members to be freaking criminals in our society by hiding crimes like this from police so that these child molesters feel that they can have free reign to go abuse who they want within the organization . And it breeds misplaced loyalties when parents are more obedient to a criminal organization than obeying the laws of the land. When ANY organization or ANY person - including parents - puts the welfare of an organization ahead of their own children's safety and welfare- these are criminally complicit parents aiding and abetting crimes of a larger organization. WT leaders need to be put on trial for crimes against humanity in how they've controlled and manipulated 8 million people's minds

  What made you turn atheist or agnostic?

  if you were a jw and are now an atheist or agnostic, what was the tipping point that made you turn to it?.

  the reason i ask is i have noticed that many who leave the jw's seem to turn to atheism, versus still having some form of a faith.

  have many of you given up on god first or have you had atheistic views first and then found atheism to be true.

  Never been JW, but was raised with Catholic family and some friends had other religions.

  Probably ages 8-12 I noticed religious hypocrites (spent a few years in Catholic grammar school). The kindest, sanest and most honest family I knew never even talked about religion or God. This was my best friend's family - my racist Catholic family were uncomfortable about them because they are Mexican, that made another impression on me about religion.

  Also my child mind figured God was like the Easter Bunny, Santa, Tooth Fairy. I remember thinking they were going to keep it secret from kids until high school. I was considered a weird kid.

  And that God was so mean and twisted. Creating a world of animals that eat each other? Hell? War? I could see that the religious adults were fearful of God, and I wondered why they believed it, and knew to keep my mouth shut about it.

  Now, I don't know what the hell is out there, but it 's not likely anything from these crazy fairy tales. I believe in "Do the right thing"

  let me start with a disclaimer: i am in no way minimizing the horrific crimes done to children by pedophiles.

  i'm not downplaying the number of lives lost due to the blood issue, or hearts broken because of shunning.

  i do not want to discount the feelings of those who have come to the end of their lives with expectations of paradise postponed.. but to me the biggest atrocity committed by this awful cult is raising children from a small age to believe that soon god will kill billions of people.

  CTRWTF- Really good thread, thanks for posting these thoughts. Being born and raised in it myself until I escaped at age 44 over 12 years ago- I agree that it's a really awful thing to teach children from birth that they are " a people for special possession " or " are Jehovah's privileged people " . The WT leaders thus indoctrinate people from the womb to think that their shit doesn't stink- and that all other people in the " world " are inferior to them. It's a disgusting way to train people to feel that they are better than everyone else.

  To this day I cannot even stomach talking very much to my 90 year old JW elder dad ( he's been a JW since 1951 ) because he views himself as an elitist. Better than everyone else. To me the REAL crime committed here is from the WT Society leaders who INDOCTRINATE and MANIPULATE JW's to think this way ! It's like they truly believe they are freaking royalty when they are only normal humans like you and me. They shit brown like me and you and they bleed red like me and you.

  Pardon my bluntness - but having been raised by a City Overseer elder dad who thought he was freaking King Tut of JW Egypt or acted like royalty of Kings of England - I have little patience with the leaders of this dangerous mind control cult the WT Society and any excuses they make for their unethical and barbaric behavior . The greatest crime is the manipulation in totality that the WT leaders have pulled on JW's and the public for offering false promises and delusions for 136 years now in which JW's get NOTHING in return for their time spent. All mind control cults can NEVER deliver on any fake promises they make
