on another thread i commented " the most wonderful thing for me about having left the organisation is giving an education to my child, encouraging him to be dedicated and committed to the person he himself wants to be".

for me that is the best thing about being free from the organisations control.. what has been your best realisation having left the organisation?.

THE REBEL- Great thread, great question ! I agree- I'm happy that my oldest son 30 years of age is finishing getting his bachelor's degree this next spring. I'm so proud of him and for him. ( He's the only 1 out of 3 of my children to escape the JW cult so far ) .

As regards myself the thing I cherish the most is my freedom of mind- the right and the opportunity to think, feel, and pursue interests like music, hiking in the woods, and other pursuits without clogging up all my valuable time in a selfish mind control cult created by the WT Society that uses people up. I have no fear of " Armageddon " because it's an unreality- ain't gonna happen. Those are a couple things I'm grateful for off the top of my head

i've been enjoying all of the discussions here for a good while now.

i found this site as i was researching things about this religion i've been in (finally after nagging curiosity and questions) but i wanted to figure things out more before coming on here and posting.

i always sit in the same spot, just outside starbucks in a vestibule area with a table in the air-conditioned space.

i say "always," but not today.. somebody with two laptops and a table filled with business ledgers was in "my" favorite spot!.

so, i took a tiny wooden table inside the coffee shop on a long padded bench next to 3 other identical tables.. as the clickbait banner ads like to say: "and what happened next was simply unbelievable!".

TERRY- Don't berate yourself. You did an excellent job. NOW those two young men will possibly go home and google the information you gave them. So...you could say, "hey, I overheard just the end of something some elders were talking to each other about -kind of hush-hush but sounded like they are going to announce next week where we can log in to listen to Brother Jackson and other esteemed elders give witness to the Royal Commission in Australia. Sounded like they said the Royal Commission wants to find out how to implement the loving provisions of our organization!"

Oh, man, if only you could keep a straight face....

And the plot thickens. The one thing we have going for us here is that so MANY of the Australian JW heavies have already had to testify at this Commission hearing - that Jackson may feel that he HAS to testify just for appearance sake to save face in front of WT attorneys, Australian coordinators, and elders, and C.O.'s who have already testified. If he backs out NOW- it looks REALLY bad. And remember- JW's are all about appearance in front of one another- they may not give a shit about how the " world " perceives them- but they have to play the " fake " impression game to impress each other to save face in front of the rank & file. So- this is my 2 cents this morning on this

How soon would a new Elders' Book leak?

as the shepherd the flock book is now in the public domain, if the .org decides to create a new manual, how soon will it be leaked?.

this is mostly a question for wifibandit, but anyone else who may know is welcome to answer.

would it be a matter of days before we get a .pdf?

Indeed it would be leaked almost immediately and we'd have several folks here PDF.ing the hell out of it for others really quick. Possibly within minutes or an hour of them getting it. Access to information is everything baby

Dazed- Thanks for posting this ! My wife and I are helping my son & girlfriend move today- but when I get more time I definitely want to watch all of this. Have read all 3 of his books and they are outstanding. Been very helpful to my progressing in life after exiting the JW cult 12 years ago. People in general tend to minimize the real dangers of mind or thought control. This is a very important topic. Thanks again

for me in no order;.

that the wt considers sex crimes against children of little importance.

Closer To Fine's comment about these WT elders or attorneys " throwing themselves under the bus to protect the GB " is very accurate. As I mentioned on another thread the GB and WT leaders have mind controlled and indoctrinated these elders SO badly that they will even stand up on behalf of the governing body to support crimes committed . Which makes them accomplices to the covering over of child abuse criminally. It's called the " Stockholm Syndrome " where a captive identifies with their captors - in this case the GB and WT Society leaders. Angus Stewart recognized this fact when he called the JW's a " captive " organization. No acceptable way to exit or leave without being shunned or punished by the WT organization. Peace out, MR.
