I had sex with my wife but now he’s my brother.
by John Aquila ingolden age 1930 apr 2 p.446.
question: will husband and wife live together after the resurrection is completed, if both are in harmony with god?.
the most that we know is that here will be no children born during the last 100 years of the millinnium (isa.

Richard Ashe Court Deposition - " Let elders handle child abuse- don't talk about it "
by flipper inas some of you know i was given pdf files of much of the conti and lopez child abuse court cases and asked from a friend to peruse through it and post some excerpts on the board here that may have been missed or not addressed in the pbs newshour report or the abc news nightline report.
so after going through this richard ashe testimony i feel i found something quite interesting that exposes the real attitudes of the wt society leaders towards child abuse and the attitudes wt leaders put into it's appointed men's minds as well.
the viewpoint that richard ashe displays is repeated in elders throughout thousands of jw congregations on this planet.

IOWN MYLIFE- Marina- what a really great example you give of the Japanese soldier who would not surrender being compared to JW's that are still deeply indoctrinated. I totally agree. It's just beyond their comprehension that the GB could ever be wrong, could ever be criminal, could ever have ulterior motives for " using " the rank & file JW's like they do. It's almost like JW's have to get knocked in their heads with injustices personally to be able to face reality. And even then- some of them won't admit it.
ZEB- If I'm not mistaken Richard Ashe is on the service committee at Bethel ( I may be wrong ) - but he was testifying in court about how the WT Society handles child abuse cases. WT was pointing to him as an " expert " - but I believe attorney Irwin Zalkin shredded him to pieces.
CHA CHING- Thanks for verifying that , yeah I thought he was in the service department.
ARWEN - You are so very welcome ! Hey man- access to information is everything ! You know ? Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Well if you check out JW.org you can probably find some real studly guys who would do wonders for your " personal study " habits. Guys that are real expressive and kind like Mr. Rogers or guys that will certainly dominate you and keep you in submission as a " weaker vessel ". I mean if you're into that kinky kind of stuff -

Are you religious or are you spiritual? Wake up to what?
by Deltawave inthere is a huge difference between been religious and been spiritual.
been religious is about been superior to others in the sight of god.
however, been spiritual is about self awareness, inner peace and unity with the natural world.

I'm a very spiritual, metaphysical, possibly slightly psychic , intuitive type person who is pretty much against everything about organized religion and all about tuning into the outdoors and nature and the reality of living in the here and now. I am very irreligious. Best way I know to answer your question. Good thread by the way, you make some good points -

Everything seems to be changing... why not birthdays?
by StarTrekAngel inif we look at all doctrines, we see an overall effort to conserve unity and control.
- assuming most birthdays, if allowed, would probably be oriented to children, then that means 40 celebrations per year.
so all in all, this give a total potential attendance to a birthday of 30 families (120 attendance / 4 family members).

The reason the GB won't let JW's celebrate Birthdays - don't ya know - is because it would take away " glory " and attention away from Governing Body members and put the attention on individual rank & file JW's- and the GB just can't have that now can they ? Wink, wink -

MISS BEHAVING- Welcome to the board, Nice to have you here. Although I'm sorry that you've experienced the shunning and ill treatment for only wanting to think for yourself- I'm glad that you cherish your freedom of mind. That's how I felt back in 2003 when I stopped attending at age 44 after being born and raised in a very devout JW family as well. And I was the youngest child of 4 of us kids too. LOL. I'm the only sibling that escaped ! Please know that we are here as a support system for you and many of us here do understand. We've lived it and many still are. But we are survivors of a mind control cult. We have our minds intact and our freedom. What more could we ask for ? Hang in there my friend, it will get better in time. Take care and congratulations on getting a college degree ! You are to be high fived and given kudos ! I'm proud of you -

Are Jehovah`s Witnesses a CULT?
by Driving Force insteven hassen is a well known name for many, if you do not know him google can help.
this information is certainly not new, but as almost every exjw has deep affection and concern for active jws it is certainly my wish and i hope the wish of other exjws that any active jw considers this information.
this information cannot be deemed as apostate, it is just stating the opinion of someone who has spent much of his adult life in helping people to realize what a cult is.

Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses are a dangerous cult that is controlled by the WT Society leaders - whoever the hell those REAL leaders are . Everybody should do research on that to protect themselves -

Why doe New light tick me off???? Next 2 weeks WT Studies
by zophar inif you have been a jw for 20+ years you may remember that the wt went into great detail on different illustrations that jesus used and the "type/anti-type" ridiculous explanations.
remember the revelation book and how those obscure jw conventions of the past pictured big things in heaven and the opening of seals?
anyway, the wt lessons for the next two weeks do two big things for me.

WT Society leaders have always been messed up. They do not have the humility to EVER admit error or mistakes. They are a bunch of arrogant pompous a-holes who keep throwing doctrinal shit up onto the wall to see if it sticks. If it doesn't stick they just throw more up there and glue it on. Peace out, Mr. Flipper -

"The organisation is imperfect, but it doesn't affect my relationship with Jehovah"
by Alive! ini've noted active, devoted jw's state the above.. and, it's not a problem for me to remain trusting of god, i just don't trust religions or men.. recently, a member of this forum stated that he remains an active jw, in the family of god's people, wanting to encourage and do good - whilst recognising that the pastoral leaders (the gb) have shipwrecked the faith of many, being unsound scripturally etc, etc.. stop and think about this - the bible says to not follow after those who lie and hurt the faith of "little ones".. the pharisees were accused of traversing over lands and expending much energy to make a single convert - only for that convert to end up worse of than he started off with.. it's one thing to not believe this is the 'truth' and feeling the awful pressure of managing ones life, trying not to lose ones family.. it's quite another thing to declare oneself to be a christian believer of god's jw household, and somehow believe the god of love would use corrupt liars to parade as jesus' brothers in the urgency of last days.
really?
and, to then visibly promote faith in corrupt men, and try to bring converts into a place where the rulership is wrong.. some of us are dying from hurt here.......give me a break..

BROTHER JERAMY- Whether you want to recognize it, or however you want to whitewash it ; you ARE under the influence of WT cult mind control. The fact that you are trying to teach some " newer " JW's that they can play the game of appearing as Witnesses and yet be insincere about the beliefs of the Witnesses really puts you on par with the insincerity of the GB of whom some of them really don't believe their own BS. Where's the difference between you and them ? The very fact that you feel that you have some special entrusted powers to baptize somebody yourself is an indication that you seem to be under the impression you have special powers connecting you to the alleged "holy spirit " and even are creating your own cult within the JW cult calling it " Family " .
Why not just make a clean break and fade as an inactive JW and pursue your own beliefs without having to be divided with your time, energy, and efforts ? You still give the appearance of supporting the WT Society by going out in service- thus they still control you. Especially if you are sitting at their mind indoctrination meetings- the WT rhetoric will still bleed into your neurotransmitters in your brain. It's in your subconscious you just won't admit it
