  Governing Body Member Stephan Lett Lies On JW.TV

  i thought it would be important to clearly point in the recent talk by governing body member stephan lett, that he did in fact deliberately lie concerning what he described as lies and false information by apostates, concerning the organization being permissive toward people in the organization who had been involved in pedophilia.

  the truth of the matter is thats exactly what the organization has been doing and perhaps for a long time.

  the recent candace conti law suit where she was awarded 28 million dollars was levied against the wts for its irresponsible behavior by the elders who gave no notification of the accused jonathan kendrick that he had been charged with pedophilia and spent months in jail for his actions .

  I agree with the points about it being ridiculous that the " branch " or WT headquarters determines WHO is a predator. Or who is even a serial child molester. The point I was making in my post from the 2012 WT letter to elders is that the WT Society leaders are not even following through on their own written directions to warn the parents in congregations about who is a predator or molester ! The GB is dropping the ball and not insisting that elders inform parents . Because of the legal ramifications, too much talk, too many loose lips talking about child abuse cases and people involved then voila ! - you have a firestorm of child abuse lawsuits BECOMING KNOWN among the congregation as well as the financial fallout- and THAT is what WT leaders want to avoid. Thus to the GB it's " silence is golden " about talking too much about the child abuse lawsuits . As Lett tried to accomplish just chalk it up to " apostates " speaking " lies " allegedly about the GB and turn the tables on where the blame should be laid.

  When in actuality the blame needs to be laid squarely on the GB and WT leaders shoulders for NOT protecting and informing parents with minor children about pedophiles, predators, or child molesters in their midst. That is where the ball of responsibility is being dropped in an extreme way. And Richard Ashe is saying WT Society doesn't have that responsibility. It's being irresponsible at it's worst

  Were you or someone you know sexually molested by a Jehovah's Witness ?

  due to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?

  remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about.

  what about the thousands that don't get caught?

  Considering the fact that WT and JW child abuse has proliferated in the media and court systems recently I thought it would be a good idea for newer board members to read these 17 pages of actual personal experiences from victims of child abuse and people who knew victims of child abuse within the Jehovah's Witness organization. After reading all 17 pages it pretty well confirms that there is a SERIOUS problem of criminal child abuse not being addressed within the Jehovah's Witness organization.

  If you know of anybody or were a victim of child abuse yourself, please feel free to share your story here. Lots of empathy on this board and you are not alone. Take care everybody, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

  O.K. To show that Stephen Lett is lying through his teeth about the GB protecting young minor Jehovah's Witnesses and Richard Ashe is lying through his teeth to avoid WT liability here is a direct quote from a letter from the WT Society to all bodies of elders dated Oct. 1st, 2012 regarding directions of informing parents of minor children about specific child molesters in their midst. They talk a good talk but this is NOT applied -

  " If the branch office determines that an individual will be considered a predator , parents with minor children WILL NEED TO BE WARNED of the danger that exists so that they can protect their children. " It continues, " At the same time that parents are warned about an individual it would be appropriate for the elders to inform the individual that parents in the congregation will be discreetly informed. "

  This does not happen. Jehovah's Witness parents are NOT being informed that potential predators or child molesters are in their midst- thus these felony crimes keep getting committed against unsuspecting children as their parents are NOT informed of who is a pedophile or child molester in congregations ! Parents and children could and probably ARE sitting in seats right next to child molesters and they wouldn't even know.

  So the WT Society is doing a piss poor job of following their own guidelines and is NOT showing any sense of responsibility towards children in congregations by purposely keeping JW parents out of the loop by not informing them of WHO in these congregations is a child molester. So the child abuse problem will continue to fester until the WT Society assumes responsibility. They can talk a good talk like Lett did, but like Richard Ashe states, " elders aren't responsible for the physical welfare of children, just the spiritual welfare. " Looks like Richard's not on the same page as Lett is he ? Might it be a case of divide and conquer time between WT legal and the GB ? Whatever it is- call it what it is- criminal negligence

  I hope that Zalkin's firm DOES call Lett on the carpet for these remarks. They need to subpoena this bastard to court . Or at least use his quote in proving there is definitely a WT coverup . As Cha Ching so aptly showed in the you tube comparison, Lett's remarks totally contradict Richard Ashe's comments in his testimony in court. The GB are just lying to save their financial ass. And lying to save face to 8 million JW's and prospective converts who are non-JW's. May the God of Karma come and bite them where it hurts

  so the bible reading talks about some "good" appointed man who valued the office more than his wife and turned her over to the crowd to be repeatedly raped until she died.. then the sick hoser dismembers her and sends the body parts around the nation.

  later the "faithful" jews from eleven tribes go up to do battle with the one "bad" tribe at god's okay and suffers defeat...twice!

  finally the third time god lets them win.. wt says that we have to realize that women were expendable in those days.

  GIGI- Welcome to the board ! Nice to have you here. As some have mentioned, we were indoctrinated by the WT Society to have patented answers to every question in life virtually- but that's an unreality. Life is full of different shades of gray, not black and white, not either this or that. Life is healthier living in the here and now with positivity - not in the dreaded expectation of being " destroyed " or " tortured " in a fictitious battle that will never occur that's an unreality.

  I was a born-in Witness like yourself ( exited 11 years ago ) and I can honestly say that I've become much happier these last 11 years. I no longer live in FEAR which was inculcated into us as JW's. We were told to be scared of " Satan " , scared of " the world " or " this system of things " - we were even told to DOUBT or be FEARFUL of ourselves and our allegedly " sinful " tendencies as we were told that our " heart is treacherous, who can trust it ? " That " it wasn't for us to direct our own steps ". Which is untrue. In actuality many of us CAN trust ourselves and our intuition once we've re-programmed our minds to see that we are NOT sinners or bad people. WT Society did a real number on our personal self esteem and it's up to us to get really reacquainted with our authentic , loving, empathetic, kind self- qualities which WT policies programmed us to lose.

  So be kind to yourself my friend. Get to know YOU ! Get to know Gigi and find what interests you . All kinds of opportunities will open to you now to enjoy life in the way YOU were meant to enjoy it- not what some organization TELLS you to enjoy. So go make your life in the here and now fulfilling and happy ! You deserve it ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

  Rachel- You and your daughter are both heroes - I hope you know that. The article was well written on the link, very well done. Thanks for posting the link. It takes a ton of courage to come forward and accomplish what you both accomplished in exposing a corrupt family member who is a " good JW " in everybody else's eyes- yet in reality- her grandfather was scum and a criminal child molester.

  I'm so sorry that your daughter suffered what she did- but I'm proud of you both. My deepest wishes for you are to find happiness in life you and your daughter and get healing with time. You have our love and support here my friend. Take care both of you, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

  Had a major blow out

  my mom was emailing a group thread of rhetoric about isis and armageddon, and i finally got sick of it and said some pretty intense harsh things about ideals, and wishing for armageddon.

  then it went back and forth like some debate, all the while i am holding back unloading serious ttatt on my family.

  i put a whole bunch of scriptures where the wonderful yahweh committed infanticide.

  FREEMINDFADE- I still have extended JW family still in and I agree- it can drive you bat crazy trying to deal with these people. You have my utmost empathy. One thing that has worked for me is I try to avoid ANY confrontation with uber fanatic JW's in my family with any JW talk. I just talk JW talk with family members ( like my older mom ) who will respect and actually listen to my views. That way I don't cause myself unneeded stress and I actually might accomplish something by putting thoughts into my 87 year old JW mom's brain. If I were you I wouldn't waste your time on your fanatic JW relatives trying to get them to listen. It's like beating your head on a brick wall- you'll just hurt your own head. Or like pissing in the wind- you'll just get yourself wet. Very frustrating. Fight debates and wars you can win. Just my 2 cents

  would it have been different if we knew why?

  i always took issue with the idea of no one knowing why a person got df.. i know im not alone.. i complained to my mother about this when i was younger, explaining that how do we know what it is that gets a person df if no one knows what they did?

  my moms answer was , .

  'if people knew a persons personal faults and what they did , others would not be so forgiving when they were reinstated, because we'd always view them with that view, so in other words, if when so n so, committed fornication, and the whole cong would know it, if they announced from the platform then his/her reputation would be permanently stained' .

  How 'bout this ? The whole IDEA of disfellowshipping is wrong in the first place. Here's a better idea. If a JW member is guilty of a crime like murder, child abuse, assault, or robbery- or other crimes that would actually ENDANGER other members of the congregation make an announcement that so and so ( their names ) have been found guilty of these crimes and the congregation is being informed and forewarned of this so as to protect themselves and their children. Most probably the guilty party will then not show up again if he or she knows their criminality has been exposed. And the elders would have done the ethical thing informing about crimes that any " worldly " newspaper would have already reported.

  As regards fornication, adultery, alcoholism, drug abuse, apostasy leading to inactive status - for the most part these are personal family issues that should be dealt with in a personal family environment. No need for spreading personal dirty laundry that doesn't involve congregation members. No need for announcements whatsoever with any personal names being used.

  Of course this is just my personal opinion and has no bearing on WT Society reality as it works right now. But I believe my way would be more efficient and fair to congregation members. If the elders wanted to handle the fornication and all the other stuff I mentioned in paragraph 2 in private counseling- then that's up to them. But in regards to the paragraph 2 practices I mentioned- really NO need to announce DFing or personal names at all. But the paragraph 1 stuff could actually harm congregation members and is announced by names in the media constantly anyway. Just my 2 cents

  VIDIOT- Yeah, I've experienced seeing that fear in JW's eyes when they see me at a grocery store or somewhere in public. They actually run away from me. I had that happen in a bank parking lot when my JW daughter's Witness mother in law was about 10 feet from me in a bank parking lot and she hurried to get in her car before I could say " Hi ". I asked her how she was doing and she quickly said, " fine" with a scowl and slammed her car door shut ! LOL.

  Bottom line is the WT Society tells JW's that we as ex-JW's are DANGEROUS to them spiritually, that we are " mentally diseased " and have " Satan's mind " - so it scares the Bejesus out of Witnesses because they think they'll catch " spiritual cooties" from us if they get too close. So they are indoctrinated to think we are a danger to them. One reason my JW daughters haven't associated with me for 11 years. The fear is deep within them more than you would think. They think we will change them away from the WT organization- therefore they shun us. Peace out, Mr. Flipper
