  What should we name the baby?

  i am due in the middle of october and my husband and i cannot come up with a name.

  i almost had him sold on venus, until he asked people at work what they thought and he got wierd looks.

  i wanted to name the last baby sidney, but let him name her because he has never gotten a chance to name a kid before.

  Has Anyone Tried Yoga?

  i have been considering learning yoga for a few years now, but i am not sure how to go about it.

  i don't really have the money for a class right now, and most of the books i have found are either extremely expensive or not really for beginners.

  can anyone make any suggestions?

  How do you find exJW groups in your area?

  i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to find out if there are any groups in my area.

  where would i begin to look?.

  i am a little bit nervous, because i don't want to get involved with people who are looking only to berate the witnesses...but people who are getting on with there lives after leaving.

  Are there books you still keep?

  i have found that the following books are still of interest and use to me, although i have 'walked away' from jw:.

  1. greatest man whoever lived.

  a lot of nice general info about jesus' life that is easy to read.

  Some good things I got from the JW Experience

  i thought that to be fair, i should probably list some good things that i personally got out of my 20 year jw experience:.

  1. i was taught that if you believe something you should live your life to reflect that; (of course, i was not perfect in this and saw a lot of hypocrsy).

  2. i personally experienced acts of kindness towards my family in many times of need;.

  Pioneer School Book

  ever since i was a kid i wanted to be a pioneer and go to pioneer school.

  i remember how every summer a crop of pioneers would come back all excited from the school with a "pioneer book" that no one was allowed to read except pioneers that had gone to school.

  seriously, even as an adult a good friend of mine would not even let me take a peak, as it was taboo.

  i have rarely found anything written by active jws here.

  it causes me to wonder if this was actually set up by an active jw and got out of hand.

  especially since the site asks us not to stumble our brothers.. ooooo....i have been warned about evil boards like this!!

  Why lawsuits against WTS could be good for them

  i have been reading a lot about the lawsuits against local congregations and the wts regarding sexual abuse, and how it is perceived that the organization actually shields the abuser.. well, in many cases, this is true.

  i don't believe that it is true in all.

  but, my point for this post is that these lawsuits brought forward will acutally be good for jws.. why?
