Depending how slow his typing is, I'd say he can count about 2 hrs. service time. Must have been a rainy day on this Wednesday morning where he's from.

We have the truth - part 2
by MutualRespectPlease indoes doing what is right in god's eyes mean we have to use only bible terms?
i know the organization is not perfect.
is there strong evidence that he has his people here on earth that although not perfect, are doing his will?

I agree with Garybuss. I think they are losing money with the literature now and will soon go with tracts only. Heck, those could be on some file the elders could access from the WT website, download, and have printed out locally (at the KH expense, of course). Password protected I'm sure.
But, I don't see the door to door preaching coming to a halt anytime soon because they HAVE to keep the drones busy doing something on the weekends. Otherwise, they would be enjoying LIFE with their families and friends and you know where that leads.
Like the rest of you, I see strange things happening in the next year or two. Hold on for a bumpy ride!
BTW, SuzyQ: WELCOME ABOARD!

I thought I knew what they were talking about all of these years. But its like taking off a blindfold. All of a sudden- I see the real point behind the talks. Really scary.
Let he who has "eyes", see and he who has "ears" hear. Suddenly, everything is clear and you see and hear with a new understanding, and you just want to get down on your knees and say THANK YOU for opening my eyes. You don't quite know why you've come out, but you're just grateful that you are. Then you're left with this terrible ache for your loved ones still captive.

Are JWDers helpful to each other?
by AuldSoul ini used to think that this place was a good spot to recommend for exiting jws.
in some wasy, it still is.
but if they want to test the waters of doctrinal evaluation i believe it is nearly impossible.

Terry must be feeling bad, too. I noticed he hasn't posted anything today.
People see things differently, so therefore have differing viewpoints. Then when two very nice people get into a spitting match, both end up feeling down.

I have a book called "10-minute Feng Shui". It says "split-entry foyers, which feature a stairway going to an upper level and another leading down to a lower level, can be confusing to ch'i -- it doesn't know which way to flow. Direct ch'i into one area or the other by illuminating the path you want it to take or accentuating one stairway with artwork, plants, or other visually appealing cures."
A lot of feng shui is just plain intuition -- doing what makes you feel good using natural light, things from nature, etc. to clear your living space of negative energy so ch'i can flow smoothly.

Obviously, John Doe, the Scriptures provide ample clues as to what this phone call actually meant. Who does Abraham typify. Well, if we look at his life through the words of the Bible, some of us might conclude that this man of God represents Old Age Fatherhood. You say you have no sons to sacrifice. However, as in the case of Abraham, perhaps you will father a child around, say, 80, 85, or so. Therefore, cling to the promise and have faith that within, oh, I don't know, (how old are you?) 40 or 50 years, a child will be born just so you may have something to give up.
Now you ask, how shall I give him up? Well, perhaps he will misbehave or maybe he will decide to live his life on a different spiritual path. In that case, you will have to do the hardest thing in the world: disassociate him from your life. That's right. Throw him away. Consider him invisible to you.

mutual respect
by Hortensia indid you ever notice that people who want "mutual respect" or "compromise" or "consensus" or "discussion" really just want you to shut up and listen to them?
they don't really want any of those things; they just want to put the other person in the wrong for disagreeing.
if they really wanted a "discussion," they'd have the courtesy to reply to comments, rather than just do a hit and run sermon.

He was bombarded by so many so fast, maybe he's going to read them all, digest them, then reply to each one later. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. However, as I said in one of my posts, I think this is a diversion of some sort to get everybody off the subject of the Sept. KM. Just a thought.

I hate Walmart!
by Elsewhere ini rarely ever set foot in the place and will go out of my way to avoid shopping there.
tonight i made the mistake of giving walmart the benefit of the doubt and walked in the door.. they didn't have the main item i was looking for, but they did have one other small item.
i headed to the front to check out only to find they had only a few check-outs open and all of the lines were far too long.

WalMart has become a habit. You need some groceries, a new shower liner, a box of crayons, some pics developed, a CD or two, some pet supplies, a garden hose......you get the picture: ONE STOP SHOPPING. Get everything you need in one unfriendly, crowded, sometimes dirty (I'm talking about sh*tty diapers in the parking lot), crappy quality, loud, distasteful borg-like store (they all look alike) with no personality or pleasant shopping atmosphere.
When I HAVE to go, it's get in and get out. I don't like browsing there.

If you don't like it, go somewhere else. That's the beauty of a free market economy.
This is my attitude EXACTLY......and I DO go somewhere else whenever possible.
