The Koolaid is ready!!!!

'...do you realize that in the bible there are many instances of situations where jehovah's people were given directions that made no sense from a human standpoint and seemed totally illogical?

I remember when I would hear things like that when I was kid it would scare the crap out of me, I did not think I could do it because I found that what they asked of me already seem illogical and my life was not in danger. They are all nucking futs.

Did GOD become a Man?
by UnDisfellowshipped indid god become a man?.
some 2,013 years ago, a baby boy was born in a small town in the middle east, and he grew up and lived around 30 years before being put to death.
today, two millenniums later, over 2 billion people claim to follow that man, and they claim that this man lives, even though he died!.

Do you mind if I ask you why you no longer believe in the Bible?
Sure no problem, I just don't feel like starting a debate. There are many reason why I lost my faith. I discovered that it was not only the WT that "edited" the bible but many religions did the same. I was shocked when I discovered there were many books that did not make in the official "bible" for me the fact that religious leaders decided what should be accepted and not kinds of throws the whole inspired hypothesis out the window in my opinion. Other factors like certain contradictions and questionable morals also weighs in the balance. I started topics on this if you look at my topics you will see more details. I do think that the bible can be useful in understanding who we are, what influences it had in the shaping of our western society. There are so many ancient book out there that in my opinion deserve as much if not more of our attention. By spending so much energy on one book I believe we miss out on a lot of interesting and profound knowledge, philosophy and poetry from different cultures.

I don't necessarily believe it is a choice, but I don't believe it is a given either. I too had many crushes on older women when I was younger, they waned, then they returned again in early adulthood. I believe that sexuality is fluidic and can be adaptable to a certain point.
Maybe you are just saying that because of your personal experience or maybe your are bi-sexual, just saying I don't really know you I can only know you from what I read in your post.
Adolescence, pre- and post- puberty have always been fraught with excitement, fear, guilt, and insecurity. And that's just the parents! Seriously, isn't that, in a way, just part of the fun? Why pathologize a normal, natural part of life?
I totally agree and that's the point we should not make children feel unatural towards a natural part of life, if we teach children about how natural it is to love someone of the opposite sex then it should also be taught that if you are attracted to the same sex it should be regarded as being as natural.

I know for a fact that the health care in Quebec is going down the crapper, not enough funding and to many who want a piece of the pie. That is the big problem with health care when there is a profit to be be made people suffer.

When I started to question my faith in the WT and did some independent study and research I started to lean to that same conclusion. On of the reasons was that the WTBTS in their version of the bible changed those "problem" scriptures and I started to see this as a way to make Jesus seem less important and draw more power to themselves, some kind of conspiracy if you want. Of course as most of you know I no longer believe in the bible but I can understand why some one who does would come to the conclusion that Jesus was god.

Disfellowshipped for Beavis and Butthead
by donny ina friend (who no longer attends meetings) told me about an incident about seven years ago in north carline involving one of her male friends.
this friend has ceased believing the society's diatribe for some time and was only staying in it in order to associate with friends and family.
he had visited a friend in a town about 30 miles away and heard a sunday talk from one of that congregations elders.

I think Primitive Dave has some good and interesting points. I also at a young age knew my sexual orientation, I was about 8 also when I started to notice older women (There was this one 16 old girl on my bus, man she was hot) and all of the gay people I know say the same, they were very young when they started to now their orientation. I believe it is important to address these issues early on in a person's life, if not they may feel very wrong with who they are. I find all this fear very damaging for the development of our society. I think that if you believe that being gay is a choice then that means being heterosexual is a choice and trust me I really can not imagine myself with an other man.

Shaving. The Romans were very particular about shaving. If you were a free man you would shave and if you were a slave you would have a beard. also the word barbarian ( Latin barba for beard) was used to describe tribes who were bearded.

Watchtower Blood Component/Fraction Deception
by jwfacts inthe watchtower attempts to create a semblance of logic to its allowance of blood fractions by presenting the concept that blood consists of four primary "components".
use of these components are unchristian.
these components can be broken into "fractions", which are acceptable to use.

I see all of this just a way to confuse the RandF so that they leave the thinking to the GB.
