I don't believe in God or Jesus. When I was a child I knew God liked to kill children and I asked him to strike me dead. He didn't so I suffered anyway.
Even if they did exist, I have no use for them.
so....do any of you believe in some person in the sky floating around called jesus?
or having a relationship with that person (or god) who is in some other dimension apparantly?
being a witness, they stressed so much having a relationship with "jehovah" and all that.

Michael said, "Just a minute I have to go pee." The teacher responded by saying, "That would be rude and impolite. What about you Peter, how would you say it?" Peter said, "I am sorry, but I really need to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back." "That's better, but it's still not very nice to say the word bathroom at the dinner table. And you, little Johnny, can you show us your good manners?" I would say: "Darling, may I please be excused for a moment? I have to shake hands with a very dear friend of mine, whom I hope
you'll get to meet after dinner." The teacher fainted
the watchtower encourages its members to use the name "jehovah" when they encounter demonic influence.
when i look in the watchtower bible, early christians used another name.. mark 16:17. luke 10:17. acts 16:16-18 & 19:11-16. why would the watchtower use a different name?
have they gone beyond what is written?
Have you ever seen a demon?
has anyone seen this movie?
basically i know nothing about it except it might have some big war scenes in it and am going to see it on saturday night with ex mr c.
Crumpet, I like your avatar. The last one was good too. I don't know about the movie, I hope you enjoy it.
About the ex-Mr C, are you giving him a second chance?
i recently started dating a woman that has stopped practicing the religion of jehovahs witness.
i am very confused on so many things that this religion believes.
i would like some input from anyone out therer that can help me...i am a catholic and i have certain things about my religion i don't believe but i dont understand the whole idea that if you leave the jehovahs witness and have been baptized you are no longer allowed to talk to your family and friends of this religion.
Disassociation(shunning) doesn't seem like something a God would want people to do. The JWs practice it with vigor. If you should marry and have children, this is what you must expect, many on this board, myself and my five siblings have experienced this as well. Your inlaws will never send cards or gifts on holidays or attempt to visit you. Another thing I have experienced and watched others the same, this causes resentment with spouses of ex-JWs. Watch this board long enough and you will see what I mean.
I don't suggest(dumping) ending a relationship. If she is handling it well, then you can too.
the wts has figured out that if you bring jesus out once a year, and create a "showy display", then the rank and file will be sufficiently convinced that the jw's hold jesus as a central figure in their beliefs.
to anyone else, it can immediately be seen for what it is.
a publicity stunt.
Jesus isn't real, then he is surely an absolutely needed invention
Not everyone needs him.
hi everyone, happy friday.
i have a question for the guys and girls on this board.
do you think that the man or the woman should say "i love you" first in a relationship?.
My wife will say "Have I told you I love you a million times today already"? It seems she may be working her way around to getting me to say it first. It works and that's all that counts.
i know that as a youngster, i felt pretty good about myself because i remained "faithful" and didn't eat birthday cake while everyone else was enjoying it.......i know of wives that came into the hall with a black eye "for jehovah" and were almost deified because of their "stand".
were you persecuted for righteousness sake?
how did it make you feel????
It IS sick!!! Little kids, defenseless women, persons with inferiority complexes----all easy marks!
You left out the victims of society itself. The alcoholics, drug addicts, the uneducated and people who are mentally incapacitated.

Mary said it, as well if not better than I could.
hubby and i got on the topic last night.
he was wondering what i was eating- a frozen jello pudding cup.
i remember getting them at the assemblies, especially the hot summer district assemblies.
What? They don't have food at the convention's any more? That's it! I am cancelling my plans to go to this summers convention!
