My life would have been better. I would have been more social and joined sports teams at school. I would know my relatives from both sides of my parents families better. My children and grandchildren would have had a relationship with my parents and I wouldn't have to argue with my wife(s) so much about how they neglect us. Definately better.

For Those Raised in "Da Troof" Would Your Life Had Been Better If...
by XJW4EVR inyou had been raised by the same family, but in a different religion, or non-religious home?
i am not addressing birthdays or holidays.
i am thinking about everyday life.. the reason i ask, is that so much of our parents problems may have been caused, or enhanced by "da troof.

Prince Rogers Nelson (born June 7, 1958, known from 1993 to 2000 as (or informally, The Artist Formerly Known as Prince, TAFKAP, or simply The Artist), is an iconic Grammy Award winning Americanmusician. He is best known for performing under the name Prince.
The symbol from medevil days meant son of the King. Aka, the Prince. If he were serious about the JWs, I would think he'd give up his career.

Have You Ever Met A "Celebrity" or Actually See One Face To Face?
by minimus inwhile i was in new york i walked by two men and one looked like the comedian jackie mason whom i adore.
i looked at him and said, "i just wanted to say how much i enjoy your shows.
i've seen you perform a number of times".

I stood next to Adam West while a makeup person was powdering his nose for a camera shot. That was at Disneyland about 20 years ago. I saw Robert Urich many times filming Spencer for hire in Boston. I was grocery shopping one day and I went to checkout in the 12 items or less ailse and Jeffery Jones was standing right in front of me. This was in Peabody, Mass. I said hello Mr Jones and he put a finger over his lips and went shhh. Turns out he was in the area for Haunted happenings in Salem, Mass. In the 80s I serviced burgular alarms and one night I was called to a home for service and Ted Kennedy's wife was there. Two weeks later it was headline news that she was having an affair with the man who owned the home.

Navy Being Sued On Behalf Of Marine Mammals . . . what do you think?
by Madame Quixote inevery time i walk on the beach, i think of all the unseen life in the ocean - all of the marine mammals and exotic fishes i'll never get to see - except in photos or in an aquarium - and i wonder about the sensibilities and sensitivities of these poor whales and dolphins that have been beaching themselves - one or two in my own area.
i've heard that a number of the beaching problems are caused by naval sonar:.

Achitoff said it was "very surprising" that the Navy plans 12 anti-submarine warfare exercises in 2007 and 2008
I think it's good someone is out there and aware of what is going on and making efforts to protect these animals. I dont think the Navy needs sonar when they can use a periscope to shoot a couple hundred torpedoes and some cruise missles into some old rusted out ships as target practice.

with me and when we met, he would bring along two of his friends and i .
sometimes, i would knock their block off and sometimes, it was the other.

During a discussion such as whether a person is an agnostic, atheist or
believer sides are taken and a line is “drawn in the sand.” Often I wonder
why this is the case?
Why does it seem that individuals cannot simply respect a person’s view-
point or more importantly the person themselves whether they agree
with them or not? When an individual offers their perspective, viewpoint or opinion on a
matter why does a “we got to get him attitude” take hold? Can you offer your perspective on the matter?
My perspective. It's in the way a viewpoint is presented. If an individual's viewpoint suggests Atheists are evil and Theists are good then sides will be taken. If your the only male in a coffee shop with twenty women and you make a joke about pms, do you expect a laugh?

Medical Testing
by Sunspot ini went to the lab last week for standard tests i have every three months before my scheduled doctor's visit.
my appointment was this past tuesday and my doc said there were "some concerns" with my test results.
needless to say, it didn't sound good, and it has not even been a year (june) since i had that throat operation (cancerous parathyroid) where i was on a respirator for a week....(i started to bleed under the closed incision and stopped breathing in the recovery room)... but he had the office receptionist make an appointment for me and when they said "for may 30th" he said no, he wanted me in asap to "nip any more problems in the bud".

With frequent visits to the doctor I'm sure everything is being caught before they get out of control. So don't worry, that will make you ill by itself. Good luck.

When I'm asked about my father I say I haven't heard from him in years so no news is good news.
