  i live and study in london.

  i hope it worked.

  my intent with the title of this thread was to attract both believers and non-believers.

  whenever a thread appears promoting the wonders of jesus, it will inevitably develop into a back and forth discussion ad nauseam.. i was born into a family that believed there was a god, he had a son jesus and his word was the bible.

  I wouldn't really agree with that; After what we'veall been through we come to site like this with the permission to be ourselves. For some folks may still feel a 'spiritual' need or desire, others for their own reasons may have had any faith in god destroyed by the borg.

  To be an exjw means that youve already taken a very brave step; I don't think posters on the site are so weak minded that they allow everything that others think and believe to influence them.

  I hope they are watching this site; the powers that be should be sh**ting bricks right now. Their lies and hypocrasy are being fully exposed, and available to every one; yes, every one and the touch of a button.

  Word of caution for those still attending, protect yourself and don't let your guard down with regard to your contributions on this site; you'll exit the cult when your good and ready.

  I'm not attending so dont give a fig if they read this from me. They can't touch me or hurt me anymore and I know exactly what they really are!

  as i write this, i am sitting and watching pbs's tribute to johnny cash.

  specificaly, the johnny cash show from the late 60's.

  my dad as i recall told me about this show and how revolutionary and groundbreaking it was at the time.

  The years of programming though, can cause us to feel unnacceptable, be this if our oppinion differs, or our way of life is different.

  I think thats why this board is of such a benefit to all the faders and ex dubs, because the variety of subject matter on here allows us to express our selves, and to learn that actually we are acceptable human beings, even if our oppinions are different.

  We all now have a future of our own making and don't constantly have to live up to standards set by other people; This really puts me im mind of a few lines from U2's 'one'

  in a cult, the society of the cult tries everything in their power to keep one in that society, as well as keeping one ignorant of any information that would sever the guise of legitimacy.

  given a version of the bible, not being able to read any other version of the bible is just one example of this kind of inflicted ignorance.

  in a cult, it's impossible to get out without a fight.
