elders would like a talk with me
by varian inhi everyone.. i recently had a phone call from an elder of my former cong.
they would like to chat with me, and obviously want to encourage me to come back.. to make a long story short: the last 4 or five years i was a jw in their kh, i was more or less completly ignored.
had in that time no phone calls, visits or any interest how i felt etc.

This is the KH my family attends. Of course my brother only posted this on facebook because it happened to the dubs. Had it been a Catholic church he would have ignored it or made an arrogant comment about Catholics.
Love my brother to pieces because he really is a good guy. He is so smart and has so much potential but unfortunately the dubs have sucked him back in. We we born and raised in the "truth" that is my excuse for why he went back.

Those pictures always made me afraid but sad for people the dubs say will die. I could never understand why children and babies would have to die. As I got older I never longed for paradise. I'm a realist I guess so I never could wrap my mind around the idea of paradise.
As far as I know this is the only life we get so we better make the best of it. The thought of being dead is the only thing that can give me anxiety and panic attacks. The thought of no longer living terrifies me at times. But I guess not enough to get me to believe in paradise or heaven.

Love it! This was absolutely genius of Tom Cruise to do this scene. He totally won back his popularity and then some. Funny movie!
Apparently Gibson was gonna try to make a similar move in the Hangover part two but I heard the case didn't want him in the movie. LOL

Just Got Back From My First Assembly " Take Refuge in Jehovah! "
by losthusband inthought i'd start a new topic on my experience.................... just got back from the above assembly.......... here is my take on my first and last assembly.
9:40 song and prayer - half the people were still in the toilet...and no one was singing, i didn't have a song book (i am worldy you see!!
) so i just stood and stared at the odd looking fella on the stage miming, rather than singing!.

I went too recently here in the US and losthusband sounded like he was at the same exact assembly as me.
They put down higher education, internet, tv, electronics, music, and the list goes on and on. That of course is nothing new.
There were quite a bit of empty seats. I think there were about 1200 in attendance but I know the facility is designed to hold much more than that.
And one of the speakers was on stage bragging about how the numbers are continually rising.

Good point BB. I'm going to send that comment to HLN since they are asking for viewer opinions.
This poor little baby . . . In a different interview I heard the mother say that her daughter already received one transfusion in the past and got a bacterial infection in her bloodstream. I understand this woman wants the best care for her daughter (JW or not) but she is running out of time here.
This little baby's heart could give out at any time. A surgery w/ blood transfusion w/ some risk is better than nothing at all.
Just getting started here . . . Have to comment more later.
