  Bookstudy and the United Nations

  wondering if anyone else is taking advantage of the subject matter being covered these past few weeks at the bookstudy (revelation climax book) regarding religion's association with the blasphemous scarlet colored wild beast (un organization)?

  this week especially does the book get into religion's "heinous" involvement with the un with the wt society's writers even sarcasticly poking fun at other religions who have supported the un.

  i, for one, have been taking full advantage of this grand opportunity to "witness" to as many j-dubs as possible about the wt society's secret 10 year involvement with the un and subsequent coverup.

  My dad will be 94 in a few months. He still drives to all the meetings. He has a 'book' study with another elderly man and drives to that study every week. He has a WT magazine route he drives to deliver magazines to people that can't get the mail subscription anymore. He loves to go on trips and just recently went to the beach in Florida for several days.

  That said, he is also completely mind controlled by the Watchtower Society and is a true company man for them.

  The elders also told the father that Simental had never done this before and was no danger to the community, he said.

  If convicted of all charges, Simental faces 45 years to life in prison.

  Simental is charged with a similar allegation in another criminal case. That case is currently awaiting trial.

  Anyone else notice this? I haven't heard anything about the other case. Wonder if it is the same girls or different one(s).

  Elders want to visit after memorial !!

  well, i attended the memorial last night, and since i have been inactive for some time two of the elders came up to me afterwards.

  they want to get together and discuss how to get me active again.

  since i am going thru some withdrawal pains, i spinelessly agreed to talk with them this friday evening.

  ... the issues that I have seen in the WT society / congregation / and individuals has proven to me without a doubt that this religion is not the avenue that god uses today.

  If you do meet with them be very careful not to let them know this is how you feel if you wish to continue a fade.

  They likely will ask you this in an effort to see if you should be DFed.

  Sex and JWs I want to know what you think "he played the God Card"

  i was a jw but left about 8 years ago, my husband wanted to go back so we have tried, i did not do so good.

  being gone so long just helped me realize this is totally false, i look at the jws as lambs being lead to their deaths.. fast forward to now, we are both in our 40s and i have had medical side effects from using birth control and other meds as birth control.

  my body can not take anymore, i have suffered breast cyst and uterus cyst, so i asked my husband who has an issue with using condoms because he does not reach a climax, and has to masturbate, to use something that would offer us a permanent result such as him getting a vasectomy.. his reaction is like why i feel even more strongly that jws are wrong.

  It sounds like the easiest solution is for you to have your tubes tied. It is a very simple outpatient procedure.

  When I had it done 30 years ago it took a couple days to recoup. You just need someone to drive you home afterward. It was also rather inexpensive and was done at a clinic. Check with you insurance company - they may even pay for it.

  I Say The Bible Teaches Evolution

  anytime a jw says that evolution is wrong, i respond, "well obviously it's not totally wrong because if you don't believe in evolution you don't believe in the bible.

  that at first glance sounds like some kind of apostate statement, but i'm taking the stance of defending the bible so they don't really get too much of an "apostate" vibe.

  it does, however, confuse them, because they have no idea what i'm talking about and all they know is that nothing in the bible supports evolution.

  Sounds like my mother. Every time I say anything questionable about the WTS she says, Where did you get that - one of those apostate places on the computer?
