CoolerKing - Do you know where your son is?
OMG!!! Good point...I better run home and check. I think his report card needs my signature too!!!
a father passing by his son's bedroom was astonished to see that his bed was nicely made and everything was picked up.
then he saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow that was addressed to "dad.
" with the worst premonition he opened the envelope with trembling hands and read the letter.. .

LMAO!!!
Thanks for sharing that! Although I must admit, I was a little nervous there at 1st. It sounded like a biker chic friend I used to know named Stacy. She lived in a trailer and smoked marijuana too!!!
Like many of the other posters on here, I learned that I am not alone. I learned that we all share a common bond. That we were all once Watchtower slaves, but now we have seen the "new light" and are finally free!!!
And most important, I learned that apostates have a great sense of humor and make terrific friends!!!
i believe the moment's right to discuss a very serious matter............................................................beer.

I believe we had one of these threads not too long ago, but it's always a positive subject, so here goes:
1. Yeungling Lager, (Pennsylvania)
2. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
3. Guiness
4. Hacker Schorr Dark Weiss (Germany)
j
I guess it might be a PA thing, but I gotta go with the Yeungling! And if thats not available, I'll take a Sam Adams. Cheers!!!You're a man after my own heart done4good. I've put quite a dent in the Yeungling supply over the years!
LOL! Had a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on tap last night. I think I may have to look you up.
just got my first tattoo - very large celtic cross across my whole forearm, and have also been smoking cigs, and cigars, on and off (social) - damn i feel great!!!
i was hoping that on the way back from the tat parlor a jw would spot me with a cig and a tated arm hanging out the window :) .
my jw wife isn't happy but i think she is turning ever so slowly - sort of "lukewarm".
Congrats Sinis!
Isn't being a rebel a wonderful feeling? I'm looking forward to getting my first tat soon too! Good luck with yours man, it looks awesome!!!

when i was a jw i didn't question the existence of god.
there was no doubt that jehovah or god was real.
occasionally though, i did have doubts.
Thanks everyone for your comments, responses and suggestions!
I know that the final decision to believe or not to believe in God rests with me. I was curious though how others on here felt about this issue.
<!-- .style1 { font-family: arial; font-size: 18px; color: #000099; } .style3 { font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; } .style5 {font-family: arial; font-size: 16px; color: #000099; } --> what was it like to grow up a jehovahs witness?it is fair to say, that as a convert from roman catholicism my understanding .
of what it was like to be raised a jehovahs witness is limited because of not.
having had any family in the organization.
What Was It Like To Grow Up A Jehovah’s Witness?
Just one word: MISERY!
Besides the loneliness and the isolation, it was a dreadful feeling of being an outcast. Not to mention the emptiness of a lost childhood that can never be returned.
Here's just one example. One time I wanted to try out for my high school baseball team. I ran home with my permission slip and eagerly waited for my mother to sign it. Unforunately all she did was fold it in half, give it back to me and say: "Tell them you can't join. You are a Jehovah's Witness."
Couldn't even try out for a freaking baseball team! What a twisted way to grow up.

When I was a JW I didn't question the existence of God. There was no doubt that Jehovah or God was real. Occasionally though, I did have doubts. Like so many others I would wonder why, if God existed, would he permit so much evil to continue all over the world. I mean if, as we were taught, God was our father and we were his children, why would he allow humanity to suffer for so long? Would a loving parent allow their children to be harmed or hurt and not intervene in some why to help them? Especially if those "children" were crying out or praying for help? But of course as a JW I had to remain silent and I could never discuss these doubts.
Now recently I have begun to seriously question if a God or deity does actually exist. There has been much written on this subject. A friend suggested that I read "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins. At this point in my life I consider myself an agnostic. While I'm not yet an atheist, I do find myself leaning in that direction more and more every day.
Many historians and scholars believe that the whole God and religion concept were invented to control the masses. If this is so, then this would mean that there is really no heaven, hell or afterlife to look forward to when we die. And if this is the case, then it shows how valuable and precious our lives truly are.
Ok, I need help!
Is anyone else struggling with this "does God exist" dilemma?
today i have realized (once more) how the watchtower shit cult has ruined my life!
today i am really pissed off at them...... i'm writing this hoping that two groups of people read this.
either some watchtower people that monitor this site or people that think to join this crap!.
We all need to vent RedPill! Glad that you got it off your chest man! (and yes, I did read it, sorry!)
Anyway, what's important is that you realize that the WTS is a CULT! They have ruined the lives of many people and destroyed many families. You can't change the past, but you can certainly live for the future. Do your best to enjoy life now and get the most out of it while you can.
