at this time of easter christians celebrate the foundation of their faith, the resurrection of jesus christ.
without the resurrection, the rest of the christian faith is in vain, with it, the whole plan of god is fulfilled and validated.
in other words, if the resurrection occurred it proves the existence of god and his plan for salvation.. with that in mind, i offer the proof that the resurrection is a historical fact that be relied upon:.
Very good argument. Still not convinced. Just because the tomb was empty does not really prove anything to me. There could be a number of explanations why the tomb was empty if the account is really true; for instance maybe there were grave robbers. Anyway, nice try.

MavMan, that is a gross misstatement of the facts. The reason I believe that the pictures truly depicts the life of a JW is that he is going around and around the blocks with his field service bag and his WT literature, looking for other suckers to recruit into the publishing company. He has got a hope for the future alright. It is the joy of seeing everyone who is not a JW die a horrible death at Armegeddon. Oh, joy!! Until that happy day he can be found going around and around the blocks in the cities of the world until his hoped for end comes.
Contrastly, those who are no longer JWs have life to look forward to. A life without fear of a vengeful god and without buying our future salvation by taking a turn on the WTs blocks.

look into the eyes and life of a grown women whose life has been scared from childhood, and hear about the hell she has had to work through.. if you could see my eyes, you would see the eyes of experience - you would see a man who, as a 5 year old boy, watched his sister raped by a pedophile - and who knew the feeling of being totally helpless.

Christ clearly instructed his disciples to go and make disciples. However, no where did he instruct his disciples to march around blocks selling WT literature with the sole purpose of recruiting others to become JWs so that they can then march around blocks and sell WT literature. There is absolutely no correlation between Christ's instructions and how JWs interpret those instructions.

tonight i was leaving my flat with my brother, when a drunk guy from across the road came over shouting that his freinds apartment was on fire.. my brother and my kicked in the door, and went in to the flaming building three times.
we eventually found him slumped over in a sofa.. i thought we were goners because we got lost on the way out, the smoke had by this time filled the room.. my brother and me dragged him out the door when his collection of half finished whisky bottles and gas lighterc refills exploded.. the only casualty was us with smoke inhalation, and my brothers car keys which fell out of his pocket in the rush.. look in the lisburn star on fridays for my smokey face.
