Free to sin but still cannot bring myself to do it

have da'd myself nearly 3 months ago.

now i am part of this world but i feel myself the odd one out.

something inside me is still blocking me to do the things i have been longing to do while i was still a jw, such as attending birthday parties, sex, etc.... just last nite, i was on the way to attend a birthday party.

I faded and took a few baby steps. I was such a rebel to wear a red sweater instead of a suit jacket at the Kingdom Hall.

My point is that you will be able to laugh at your progress afterward.

I hope this helps- It is not immoral to attend a party, as long as you don't intend to behead anyone. I hope you start to discard the idea that you "engage in immorality" when you violate their stupid rules.

Go buy a lottery ticket or say a curse word. Donate blood. See a movie they would never approve of. Do somethings that help you see that lightning won't strike you.

mexico is by far the country where the witnesses have had the most success in the entire world.

almost any statistic except the total amount of witnesses shows that mexico is where the witnesses have had the wildest success in the world.proportional to population, the witnesses in mexico are double, or nearly triple, what they are in the us or brazil.but there is "trouble in paradise".

if mexico falls, pretty much the whole watchtower falls.which is why it is so important to have jwfacts translated to spanish.i made an analysis and things are looking bad in mexico... if trends continue, mexico will become just like the 1st-world countries.here is the first graph:maximum publisher % increase:.

Well, THEY STILL HAVE GROWTH IN MEXICO as long as it's above Zero %.

But the stats show that might go away. Surely, they are running out of kids willing to be baptized or forced into it.

I can imagine the retired English-only JW's are such a minority. Most probably could go to Spanish language congregations. They might even like going to Spanish if they don't speak the language, just sitting there like bumps on a log as usual, but with a language-barrier excuse.

If they close English-only, it's a money thing. The retired JW's probably give minimal amounts to keep the congregation expenses at bay, but not much toward the worldwide work.

My buddy, JRK went with me to see/hear Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience, Cheap Trick, and Foreigner in late August, then we went to another venue for Edgar Winter, Alice Cooper, and Deep Purple.

The Led Zep experience and Cheap Trick were top notch, and Foreigner was good.
Edgar Winter was top notch.
Deep Purple- the music was awesome and the vocalist was okay.
Alice Cooper is like a crazy show more about theatrics, but still fun and familiar.

elder and his wife build a flash house.. they go on the stage at an assembly and give an experiences of how they sold the flash house to simplify their life so they can go pioneering.. the real story.. elder and wife can't afford the flash house and have to sell it he never goes pioneering she does until they are declared bankrupt.. why were they bankrupt?.

the money leaft over from the flash house they invested in a yet to be build apartment and the developer goes bankrupt takeing their money.. just one of many.. karter..

Thanks for the clarification. I wonder why the C.O. is promoting fiscal irresponsibility and stupidity.
It sounds like this family has not a lick of sense related to finance. I found that most problems the r&f faced were of their own making.

I typed more and it disappeared.
Anyway, they probably cannot find actual, good, upbuilding experiences, so they had to take this one and put the "spin" on it. And, we have learned that this is very very common.

We're not talking fried chicken here. People could easily go to the internet to learn about KFC and how it started in Kentucky. But not very likely. It's just fried chicken.

But they will go to the internet and learn about jwdotorg and where it came from. They will stumble upon jwfacts or some other negative links. It's more important to them than KFC.

Maybe it's lost in the culture. I had no idea what a "flash house" is, so the internet tells me it's a brothel.
I don't think some elder had and sold a brothel.

return of the dub (plus surprise guest)dealing with just one frisky, bright-eyed jehovah’s witness is a handful.one on one is manageable.

two jw’s is more like juggling chainsaws or french kissing alligators.i had a return visit the other day and now, the jw was returning the 2nd time, but with another dub.what would my strategy be?

You must have just kept interrupting them and not letting them make their point. Because any JW could answer that the difference between the destruction at the Flood and at Armageddon is that Jehovah has since sacrificed Jesus for our sins and we won't be continuing on as sinful humans after the next destruction of the wicked, but must apply that sacrifice and then we will have our unintentional sinfulness removed, which never happened to Noah's offspring.

And then, "Well, why did God do it back then if He hadn't sacrificed Jesus yet?"

Because the world was TOO wicked and it was part of preparing the way for Jesus to be born into the world.

It doesn't even have to make sense to the brain, what JW's will say. But they know how to say it.

If the dialogue wasn't an exercise in just constantly barraging them with piled on thoughts, then it was your exercise in creative writing, because I am confident that JW's today, no matter how bad they have gotten, will think they could answer such questions.

in my kingdom hall people see me as rude but to me i dont understand how.for me having to talk to adults is not bad but for me its one thing if i dont know you and so i have my guard up at all times and i have a fuck off tone in my voice.but some of the brothers seem they like kids to much.. one more thing i have the a fuck off tone some times is because a lot of brothers i kinda know (hint kinda know) ask me about my school life.what i mean is not ''hey how's school?

Many elders think they can cross boundaries that are really inappropriate.

I think your attitude is fine for such questions, and I wish more JW's would be able to do that.

In your case, the elders are probably hoping to get some juicy stuff that perverts like to hear about teen girls.

These people are not going to be your friends in the future, so screw them.

it's only a matter of time of course..... jw rumor mills will start up soon, with stories of how jws were "first on the scene" as the flood waters receded..... how the red cross and/or us national guard and/or doctors without borders and/or [you name it] were marveling at just how "organized" the jws are..... how zealous jws were pulling their trolleys thru ankle-deep water to "offer comfort" to victims, by giving them - sandwiches?

to offer them comfort by giving them 16 page "magazines" to read in their spare time..... so as the stories start to come in, you can "deposit" those little nuggets of bs here.. once collected, we'll wrap them in a pretty bow and flush them away where other instances of pure manure go..

I am passionate about this because it has so deeply affected me.
Hurricane Hugo in South Carolina was a chance for individual JW's to show their love and compassion. I lived there and lost my car to a tree falling on it, and the trailer I rented fell off it's blocks. There was no "approved brothers" requirement and no "money-only" request at the time.

JW's came with chain saws and power tools and lumber and clothing and food. Some JW's from North Carolina donated an older car to me, and I drove it for years. I had a cabinet full of canned goods. And the "ear-marked" money donated to WTS was in excess because most volunteers brought their building supplies or bought them with the cash from passing the hat. So the excess- they asked any if they were out of work or otherwise lost revenue and valuables. I was given a check for approximately 2 weeks worth of work. They had to spend it on the disaster, as it was ear-marked. There was no asking victims for their insurance money.

I went to Hurricane Andrew relief and it was similar, but WTS started buying the building material and organizing the work load. Still, it seemed a good idea. But after that disaster, I could tell that things were different and they went too far. DO NOT DONATE CLOTHING AND FOOD AND CARS AND STUFF. That was too far.
ONLY APPROVED BROTHERS WILL GO IN AND HELP. I think JW's go in anyway without that process, but then they have to face the wrath of not showing love the Watchtower way.
