What to Do....Please Help. Awakening JW for a very long time

good afternoon , .

i have been having doubts for many years and as most jw's i have certainly not done myself a favor by suppressing all of my critical thinking.

i am married with 3 kids and my wife and i are inactive, but my wife has made it very clear in speech and action that she wants to go to all meetings, field service, and indoctrinate our kids.

CovertsadJW, I haven't read all the wonderful answers from others yet, but I can say what I would do. It may not take into account all of YOUR circumstances.

I would never let my kids become JW's. I would prioritize that. If I had to be DF'ed or DA in order to tell them the truth about Jehovah's Witnesses and to allow them to grow up fairly normally, then so be it.

I don't even remember what further questions you say I didn't answer, what with being defeated because your stuff was inarguable. But I know I wasn't dishonest in anything I said, so you sure are a sore winner.

Ding, while I may have triggered the WT indoctrination so slightly, I seem to have made 2 steps forward, 1 step back. So still good, IMHO.

Leah Remini on Paul Higgis accusations

i was wondering what people think of leah remini's comments on the paul higgins accusations.

she has said that the 5 women that have accused him of rape and sexual harassment are not to be trusted.

she says that because 3 of them want to stay anonymous that must mean that they are not accurate statements.

I have to agree. But there are supposed to be some who are not former Scientologists accusing Paul Haggis. We will have to see. I certainly would suspect Scientology of putting the women up to this. But I don't know enough to say that is what this is.

it wasn't as off-topic as it seems, this silly argument.

It shows that people write things and then insist that others see it the way they wrote it.

It could be the NT writings or it could be myelaine's thoughts. I hope you can see how someone writes something and then is so sure that settles the matter. The NT writers could do the same thing.

You have a distinct lack of reading comprehension.

I have already given you your victory in that nothing can penetrate your views, your mind like a steel trap has closed. But that isn't enough for you. So lets clear this up so you can fully enjoy believing that you proved your point.

The bible is inarguably considered to be the holy text of christians and jews. It's not the holy text of any other religions.

You seem to think you are pinging me on not understanding your claims. Well, if so then you misspoke here.

Of course I didn't think you were saying that ALL PEOPLE (or even a majority of ALL PEOPLE) consider the Bible to be the holy text of Christians and Jews. I mean- so many people consider the Bible to be the writings of men. So I figured you must have been trying to say that Christians and Jews consider the Bible to be holy texts.

It depends on which writings and which groups of Christians and Jews we are talking about. But the Bible is definitely not unarguably considered to be the holy text of Christians and Jews, The Bible is considered to be "BELIEVED TO BE HOLY" by Christians and Jews. But so many people do not consider it the holy text of Christians and Jews. That means it is not inarguable.

So forgive my reading comprehension problem. It was in the way your wrote, not the person reading it.

I doubt you will see where you misspoke, but will just add this to your great victory.

think this night about former and current leadership of jw.org, and the use of multimedia and broadcasting, imaging a theodore jaracks kind of gb member would be chosen again.. is there a way back possibility for jw.org to end all the multimedia circus and a go of the radar for the gb again?.

You miss the point. I am not included in your argument group. You are saying that something is inarguable if we only stay exclusive to Christians and Jews.

I am saying that there is a group not arguing that something is a holy text and there is a group not arguing that Watchtower is the correct beliefs, but that doesn't make their claim "inarguable" if people outside the group want to argue about the text being holy or the Watchtower being correct beliefs.

I can find a group that unarguably declares the Bible to be words of men only. I could probably even find a group larger than the number of Christians and Jews in your group- the two thirds of the planet not part of your group. It matters not. It is not inarguable.

Yeah, even Christians and Jews argue over it. But I know what you are saying. Still, the printed word of Watchtower is unarguably the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses. So to be so exclusive as to who is allowed to argue a point is not acceptable to me. Good luck with that.
