Can you think of any WT books that aren't 192 pages?
by silentWatcher inso, the latest book at the convention was 224 pages, and not the typical 192 pages.
more manna from heaven :-) .
besides the greatest man book, can you think of any regular issue book (nwt, proclaimers books, bound volumes, etc not included) that was not 192 pages.

Life sucks, then you die, causing life to suck for others.
by serendipity ina male relative died last week after a short illness.
i don't know what will appear in his obituary but i doubt it will capture his personality and what the loss means.
his adult children will miss the comforting, steadfast presence of their father.

Cancer has taken way to many people out of my life, how about yours?
by free2beme inrecently a female friend of mine was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
she is 22, and has a long fight ahead of her.
in my 35 years of this life, if there was a year book that showed all the friends and family members that i have known, far to many would have a note saying "died from cancer, on such and such date.

Parking lot encounter, but not with JW's...
by DesertRat inyesterday (monday) while getting out of my car in a supermarket parking lot, i was approached by two well-dressed young men carrying bibles.
at the first instant i froze, thinking that they were 'you-know-whos.
' it should have occurred to me right then, from the fact that both were wearing white shirts, black ties, & name tags, that i was not dealing with jw's.. my immediate response was to say that i was not interested but thanks anyway.

JW dramas on tape
by DesertRat injust curious as to how many others besides me might recall some of the old bible dramas released on cassette tape (longtime jwd posters would undoubtedly know).
the earliest one i remember was 'jehovah's name declared in all the earth' (convention of 1981, i think), which dealt with the israelites' exodus from egypt and the beginning of their long sojourn in the wilderness.
but it was the sequel 'beware of losing faith by drawing away from jehovah' that unfortunately really stands out in my memory (perhaps because of the nightmares it gave me..).
