How do you handle extremely rude people in public?
by Virgochik ini'm so upset by two vicious women who came to my work today.
i was helping a man in my line and they tried to cut in front.
i politely explained that as soon as i finished with my customer, i would help them.

I work in a place where the public is restricted and I like it that way.
When in public I put my emotions on hold and do what I need to do and get my ass back home.
Someone told me once they could not stand to be around people because of their rudeness esp. in a public place. He would hum the Darth Vader song in his head and pretend to do the heavy breathing and act as if he owned the planet. This would make him feel better.Made me laugh but I did tried it once on a xmas eve shopping run.It worked.Hope no one heard my breathing.

by mavie inover the past month, i've had this huge desire to explore 'forbidden' topics.
i'm wondering if anyone else has gone through this phase.
i've downloaded and explored the qu'ran, vedic scripture, buddhist teachings, etc... i just can't get enough right now.

The best info on the subject matter would be best found at the library.I would rather read from the true sources as opposed to internet sources that could be altered or inaccurate or even politically incorrect or slanted as in the case above.Found a very large set of books at the library several years ago.I would check out 3 at a time. They covered myth, religion, etc.I was amazed at how alike most beliefs are and felt that Christianity was not a new idea but a lot of old ideas redone.Nothing original.Keep in mind I do not believe everything I read in a book or on the net.Rather cut my own path than to follow what others say or print.

This is a good site from what I have read.I did not read it all and therefore cannot be responsible if someone gets upset with its contents. Its not my website.

How do I help my JW friend?
by stillAwitness inshe's the same age as me; 22 but has the mentality of a 16 year old.
she has been itching to get married the past couple of months b/c in her mind: the only way she will be able to be out of her parents' control is to finally get married to a "fine witness brother".
i told her why not go back to school and while you do that save up money to find your own place?

Talk to her on her level even if you come off sounding 16 yourself.Talk to her on a human level without the religious views.Humans need company. She maybe talking to you because your the ONE she trusts.Lots of people marry to get away from home.I would treat her like she really is my sister not just the tag we all used to use.
Remind her that decisions she makes can now determine her future.

I work with Muslims. My doctors are Muslims.I shop at stores owned by Muslims.Did I state that I agree verbatim?Sorry about TRYING to help. All religion has a violent history. Its a fact.I was trying to point in a direction not lead.Do what you want or think what you want,I dont really care.If I post a Star Trek website will I be flamed for believing in Capt. Kirk? Jeez

by booker-t inone of my best friends in the world pam who is a non-judgmental born-again christians told me that she thinks that we are only "pawns" in a chess game played by jehovah and satan.
at first i thought pam was joking with me but she told me she was serious as a heart attack.
