  i have a copy of may 1,1998 watchtower.

  when i heard a few years ago about the witnesses believing that they were the locusts i thought it was just a rumour; that even for a jw org it was too far fetched.

  a few weeks ago i read about it again on this site.

  tired of not existing

  ok, sorry about this but i'm in tears and just need to absolutely vent..... i am so tired of being invisible, of not existing to people that have said they love me, to people who i've known for years.. i had to find out from the stupid newspaper that a family friend died from her battle w/ breast cancer.. just this week i finally get in contact with someone who had stopped going to the meetings 10 years ago and now that she's back... guess what ... that's right ... i hate this religion.

  yes i am depressed today.

  everything a person has built in a life time is just ripped away.

  in my case, it was always the length of the meetings that bothered me.. no matter what meeting it is, you have to get there prepared, and that means lots of time reading the darn literature.. another thing that would irritate me, is all the magazines that come in faster than i can read.. i'll let you guys add to this list.. .

  Investigation made by the Belgian authorities (Justice Department)

  belgian authorities (justice departement) are deeply investigating about "lobbying and cults".. their attention has been brought on an article in the "awake" magazine dated 22nd of june, 2000. .

  this article describes the big storm that fell upon france in december 1999 (sorry, i don't possess the english edition - title in french, "apres la tempete, un vent de solidarite").. in order to help people, the "awake" mentions that jehovah's witnesses have organized "rescue committees" (in french, "cellules de secours").. question of the belgian authorities : are these "rescue committees" official, are they a world-wide arrangement initiated by the hq in brooklyn, or simply an arrangement made locally by the french jw ?.

  Anyone do Charity work?????

  there is a few things that i am involved in, and have been for quite sometime.

  i feel that it is important to raise my children in this type of environment, so that they see outside of the box, and not be so closed minded on our surroundings.

  many are in need, and it is easy to close our eyes and forget.. my main charity work will always benefit children.. this weekend i have gathered many things from my house such as kids clothes, shoes, jackets...and i bought many blankets, cook ware, along with money etc... this will all go to easter seals.

  i am reading the emotionally abusive relationship: how to stop being abused, how to stop abusing.. .

  it has been an enlightening read to say the least.

  i turned toward this topic due to ladylee's constant reminders that cults are simply another form of abusive relationship.. .

  I noticed my parents were not abusive before being abducted by the Jahliens.They were very loving etc.After they became jdubz they were like those mean priests you see in a Joan Of Arc film or a an SS officer.What was bad is my thoughts were homocidial not suicidial (spelling?).I wanted justice but our govt allows religious freedom no matter what the result and no one would believe me anyway.I held on and got out.If those people could have read my mind when I was 12 or 13 they would have been scared s---less.Fortunetly I had an entire non-jdub family to rely on.Whats really sick is when my mom tells me about one of THEM dying it is hard for me to say oh Im sorry--I want to say good ---yea!!!! They reap what they sow I guess.Believe it or not I am really a very nice moral person but at the mention of them or muslims I fell like going ballistic.
