Another example of evolution before our very eyes!
by cantleave ini read an interesting article in the awake in the scientist on-line magazine and i thought i would summarise it for the lovely people on jwn.
this is a great example of what survival of the fittest really is and it provides evidence of evolution that can be observed in our own lifetimes.. creationists will say this is micro evolution and not macro evolution (or as an evolutionary biologist refer to it speciation).
they will argue that that these are two different concepts, but the reality is that it is an accumulation of these small changes occurring in different populations that will eventually create a divergence resulting in a new species.. charles brown of the university of tulsa has been studying the social behaviour of cliff swallows for the past 31 years (good job armageddon didnt strike in 1975).

instead of 'bible aids' a bro(tm) said 'bible helps' thus avoiding aids disease!?!.
instead of sodom the bro(tm) pronounced it 'sow dom'.

New Rumor - Watchtower and Awake in one magazine only?

someone told me that there is a rumor that soon the watchtower and awake's magazines will be only one (fusion).. anybody knows something concrete about that, or is only rumor instead?.

In my congrgation the Brother explaining this "nesting" took about 5 mins putting it in and pulling it out to show us exactly what it means.
Our service oversneer had to do this on TWO separate occasions, I s**t you not. People 'round here are dumb as rocks, I swear.

Too sick or injured but still made it to the meeting!
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini once attended a two day special assembly with my gums bleeding after having 4 widom teeth pulled the day before.
i managed the two days by rinsing out my mouth all day long and placing cotton in my mouth.. one brother had back surgery the week before but attended a two day assembly by laying on a matress in the back of the assembly hall.
why he needed to be there i'll never understand!.

I'm constantly amazed at how many very active Witnesses are here.

What's this buzz word "nesting"?
Right, so. When they made the magazines smaller, they now ship them "nested" - meaning two magazines are together, one stuck inside the other. Now, some mag serpents separate them, and some don't, leaving the separating for the dubs to do on their own. Me, I don't cuz I'm a lazy sumbeach.
Anyhow, now instead of having 2 Washtowels stuck together and 2 Asleeps stuck together, they're going to stick the Asleep inside the Washtowel. So now you can just pick up premade sets.
Probably being done because a lot of folks were getting confused and placing double magazines with folks. Not surprisng folks would be confused when the WTBT$ is trying to lower it's followers' IQ to that of an average turd.
